You are on page 1of 2

Point of View:

- First person (because it uses the word “I” and it makes the reader know that the author is clearly
telling him/herself)

Character:
- Characterization is direct, since the writer is directly telling the story; not the director telling a
person’s story.
- The character is major, as the reader intentionally sees the direct point of view of the character
“I”, which makes it arguably major.
- The character is more towards unchanging static in which the reader looks thoroughly that the
character “I” is careless throughout the story, indicating that the character is not developing or
changing any characterizations.
- IDK WHATS ROUND COMPLEX OR FLAT SIMPLE.
Plot:
- It is more likely to be a short plot, where it only takes place in the Airport of Bali, but it contains
some dilemma from the character in which the character wants to stay longer but she can’t.
- The character does not seem to be antagonist, but it is more towards “careless”, creating a sense
of protagonist but still “careless.”
- The character majorly conflicts within woman vs. herself, since she forgets to read the
specifications or guidelines of staying in Bali. It does not create a perspective of “woman vs.
man”, as the immigration officer is just conveying the truth about settling in Bali.
- Overall, the plot undoubtedly does not have any specific rising actions or climax and the story
itself does not tell about the resolutions and conclusions; it is just a conflict that the woman must
face within herself.

Theme:
- More into “careless” or “humanity”, meaning that human creates flaws and human is struggling
to reduce the mistakes. This is also intended for the reader to always ensure everything is handled
carefully when conducting or going on something.

Setting:
- Place: Bali, Indonesia (To be specific: Airport of Bali)
- Time: it does not mention any specific time.
- Social Environment: assuming that it is busy and crowded, as a majority situation of an airport.
The character does not mention in detailed about the atmosphere of the airport.

Irony:
- It is assumed to be “situational” in a way that the character “I” is being careless and it is a
situation that somehow needs to be fixed, especially in the context of this issue.
- It is slightly “dramatic”, since the reader can see how confused the character was upon the arrival
in Bali.
- IDK WHATS OVERSTATEMENT, UNDERSTATEMENT, AND VERBAL LMAO.
