FROM: KLAC MANAGEMENT TEAM DATE DECEMBER 4, 2020

TO: ON-SITE EMPLOYEES — NOTICE OF ROOM INSPECTION CC: FILE

As previously disclosed to you by your Department Head, to help maintain acceptable health standards, the
physical appearance, and to perform preventative maintenance of the KLAC’s staff housing, inspections of all units
shall be conducted monthly, unless otherwise noted, on the FIRST Monday of each month. THIS MONTH THE
INSPECTION WILL TAKE PLACE ON MONDAY, DECEMBER 7, 2020, AS OF 10:00 AM.

Please note, monthly inspections will be focused on the following items:

Cleanliness, which is defined as the absence of dirt, dust, odors, grease and/or other residues on all surfaces and
furnishings.

a. Kitchens require dishes to be cleaned and stored safely. Refrigerators are to be wiped both inside and out,
with food neatly stored.
b. Bathrooms should be clean and free of mildew and mold.
c. Trash should be stored in a covered container until properly disposed of. Recycling is a must – please use
the blue bins placed at strategic locations around the premises.
d. Items should be appropriately stored to ensure safe/easy access to all areas of the housing unit.
e. Porch area and/or walkways must be free from garbage and other debris.
f. If you smoke, we ask that you dispose of your cigarette butts in a clean and safe manner at a
designated smoking area.
g. Recycling is a MUST — Use BLUE CONTAINERS for recycling ONLY.
REMEMBER: THE THINGS THAT CANNOT BE RECYCLED ARE EXTREMELY IMPORTANT
BECAUSE IF MORE THAN 10 PERCENT OF THE RECYCLING IS CONTAMINATED, IT GOES
TO THE LANDFILL INSTEAD! 10% TRASH MAKES IT 100% TRASH.

Appliances & Plumbing (toilets, refrigerators, sinks, etc.)

a. To ensure proper water usage, toilets and sink faucets (kitchen & bathrooms) will be checked to
ensure they are in good working order.
a. Blinds are intact and in suitable working condition.
b. Our maintenance team will ensure that freezers, refrigerators and air conditioning units are in good working
order.

Preventative Maintenance requires a teamwork approach to ensure success. These inspections are scheduled to
ensure our team members have safe and proper living quarters. Feel free to report any and all maintenance related
issues during each inspection. Please report all issues that require maintenance personnel to work on by filling out
our three-part work order. These maintenance request forms are located at the Front Office. Office personnel will
be delighted to assist you.

Thank you for your support and collaboration,

The KLAC Management
