Automotive Highlights
Vision S
By SONY

The showcar has been developed in collaboration with Nvidia,

Continental, Bosch, ZF, and Qualcomm.
The zero-emissions sedan is equipped with no fewer than 33
sensors to detect people and objects not just outside of the car,
but also inside that modern four-seat cabin with individual rear
seats and giant glass roof

Vision AVTR
By Mercedes Benz

The Vision AVTR was jointly developed with the

makers of the Hollywood film Avatar.
The show car demonstrated a new interaction
between humans, machine and nature.

The autonomous Vision AVTR is inspired by the

world of Pandora, the setting of the Hollywood
film Avatar. The organic design language of the
Advanced Vehicle Transformation car with
transparent door shells is intended to
symbolise a fusion of the body and interior.
Lighting effects and 33 bionic flaps in the rear
of the car communicate with the outside and
inside world.

i3 Urban Suite Concept and i Interaction Ease
By BMW

The i3 Urban Suite replaces a majority of the interior with a swanky seat and
footrest finished in a bright shade of blue. A small table is positioned left of the
seat, and a screen flips down from the headliner for watching a movie while on the
go.

The i Interaction EASE offers a glimpse into a future where autonomous driving
has become commonplace. The concept car has deliberately been given an abstract
exterior appearance in order to focus attention purely on the interior. Not only is
the cabin meant to give passengers the feeling of having already arrived at their
destination while still en route, it also underscores the potential of intuitive,
almost human-like interaction between passenger and vehicle.

Urban Air Mobility
By Hyundai

The Hyundai Urban Air Mobility vehicle

is called the S-A1 and was developed in
partnership with Uber Elevate, with the
air taxi service in mind. The compact
aircraft, which seats five, including the
pilot features, four electrically driven
props in a vertical orientation, much like
a quadcopter drone. This gives the S-A1
vertical take-off and landing capabilities
and keeps the craft quieter than a
traditional helicopter, a combination
that Hyundai and Uber think make it
ideal for use in urban areas.

M.Vision S
By HYUNDAI MOBIS

Hyundai's in-house Tier I parts supplier Hyundai Mobis ginned up an autonomous

transportation pod concept that can, in a pinch, be manually driven by a human being.
Per Mobis, the mostly self-driving M-Vision S is primarily all about communication—both to
occupants and pedestrians hoofing it around outside the car. The car's feedback loop with
the outside world is envisioned via sound and LED lights, digital signboards, and headlamp
projection. Take note: Blue-colored lighting indicates the car is autonomously driving itself,
yellow (caution!) amusingly indicates a human is at the helm, and a big screen in front can
send specific messages to other vehicles and pedestrians.

Light Field Head Up Display
By FUTURUS TECHNOLOGY

The light field head up display could project multiple layers of image in the front sight of the
drivers. The first image layer is locate 1.5 meter away from the driver, the image size is about 25+
inches, which is designed for the infotainment system, such as movie, music and SNS; While the
2nd image layer is about 50 meters away, the image size is more than 390 inches, which is for the
augmented reality purpose. The combination of these two image layer could resolve the problem of
binocular disparity and accommodation-convergence conflict. Therefore, the driving experience and
safety could be upgraded to a very high level.

Virtual Visor
By Bosch

The Bosch Virtual Visor replaces the traditional vehicle sun visor with a
transparent liquid crystal display. Utilizing a monitoring camera, the
Virtual Visor intelligently blocks only the portion of the visor where the
sun would be striking the driver’s eyes while leaving the rest of the visor
transparent. This leads to drastically improved visibility through the
visor and at the same time automates the adjustments to the visor,
leaving the driver to focus on the road ahead of them. The Virtual Visor
blocks the sun, not your view!

3D Automotive Display
By Bosch

The 3D displays use passive 3D technology, meaning they are glasses-free tech 3D displays and also don’t
use eye-tracking cameras.
The technology generates a realistic 3D effect that can be viewed faster than a traditional screen and can
also be viewed from different perspectives and by multiple passengers at the same time. Because the 3D
effects should change based on a passenger’s position in the car, the 3D display will provide a customized
experience for each user.
The display’s depth of field can help drivers grasp important visual information. From assistance systems to
traffic-jam alerts, important or urgent information can jump out of the display and catch the driver’s
attention. The rear-view camera image with the 3D display will also be more realistic, allowing earlier
detection of obstacles and help drivers better understand space and approaching walls.
The 3D display also creates a new kind of experience for gaming, 3D movies, smartphone integration and
more, improving the driver and passenger experience with bigger and more attractive digital visuals. Web Link
