Emergency Operation

22 Emergency Operation
Various electrical components of operating table control (such as
the processors, etc.) are duplicated in order to increase
operational reliability. When one processor fails, the system control
detects such. The table automatically switches to the emergency
mode.
The red EMERGENCY OPERATION display [i20] will blink
continuously and

the red MALFUNCTION display [a4] remains illuminated.

In the emergency mode, all adjustments are executed at half-

speed. An acoustic signal is emitted while moving the operating
table.

CAUTION
Risk of collision!
The limit switches are not monitored. Do not put the operating table in any extreme positions.

If the operating table is not reacting in a typical manner, e. g.,

because of a sensor failure, certain adjustments cannot be
executed or are limited to such an extent that the emergency mode
can also be activated manually in case of an emergency.
Press the ON [i1] and EMERGENCY OPERATION [i20] buttons
+ on the column keypad simultaneously for approx. 10 seconds. You
will hear various acoustic signals. When you hear one long beep,
the operating table is now in the emergency mode. The red
EMERGENCY OPERATION display [i20] will blink continuously.

A, B, C, D Ranges where Trendelenburg and tilt positions may move freely

E, H Ranges where Trendelenburg and tilt positions are blocked (by tilt sensor)

If there is a difference between the motor control and tilt sensor angle values of more than
5 degrees in normal operation and 2 degrees at zero position, the tilting and Trendelenburg
function is restricted. If the angle values of the tilt sensor are outside of the specified range,
only zero position movement of the tilt and Trendelenburg position is possible. This serves to
protect the mechanics.
Usually, both ellipses are superimposed precisely on each other. This prevents any restriction
in the tilt and Trendelenburg ranges. Full range of motion is possible in both directions
(25 degree tilt, 30 degrees 1)/25 degrees 2), Trendelenburg position, 35 degrees anti-
Trendelenburg position).
