FOREWORD

Psalm 5:3 At each and every sunrise you will hear my voice as I prepare my sacrifice of
prayer to you. EVERY MORNING I LAY OUT THE PIECES OF MY LIFE ON THE AL-
TAR AND WAIT FOR YOUR FIRE TO FALL UPON MY HEART.

The Psalmist made himself the Petition that he presented before God! He brought pieces of
his life at the altar of God because only He, the Potter is able to break and remake you into
what He envisioned you to be!

Sometimes it’s easy to bring a list of things before God in prayer. Petitions of every manner
of all that we want God to do for us. But most times, we don’t even have capacity to contain
what we are asking from the Lord, not made into the vessels that should carry what we want
God to do for us yet!

Sometimes the error we make is to bring with us an old version of ourselves into the new.
But every season of our lives demands a new version of ourselves. It is what you become on
the inside first that commands a change of things in your surrounding.

So in this edition of Whispers of Faith, more than pretend that we have it all together, we
want to go to God in SURRENDER and present the pieces of our lives, knowing very well
that when we do that, He is able to mould, shape and make us into what He wants us to be.
He is able to have his way in us and give us capacity to handle what He has for us.
The Bible says after the Psalmist presented the pieces of his life at the altar, he didn’t just
present and go. He WAITED.

I pray that as you read these devotionals, you will remain in the place of prayer
God is ready to do so much if you wait for Him in His presence!
He is ready to touch your life.

Surrender to Him!

Remain in His presence!

With love

RESTORED With Chisomo Favour Kamlopa
Exodus 34:26 And the LORD said to Moses, “Cut two tablets of
stone like the first ones, and I will write on these tablets the words
that were on the first tablets which you broke.
In Exodus 32, Moses dropped the tablet of stones after he saw that
the children of Israel made a gold calf and were worshipping it. Now
in this chapter, God is telling Moses to cut new tablets and that He
will write on them the very first words that were on the ones Moses
broke. He is a God of restoration!
But what exactly was written on these tablets, what did these tablets
contain?
Exodus 32:16 And the tables were the work of God, and the writing
was the writing of God, graven upon the tables.
These tablets were the work of God, they had the writing of God
graven upon them. And He who initially formed these tablets is
coming with a promise of restoring what was broken.
He is able to restore all that has been broken in you.
Jeremiah 1:5 Before I formed you in the womb I knew you; before
you were born I sanctified you; And I ordained you a prophet to the
nations.
All that you are meant to be and all that you are meant to have was
given to you as the LORD formed you. But maybe the enemy might
have tried to kill, steal and destroy what you are meant to be or
meant to have. The enemy might have tried to break the work of God
in you or the purpose of God for you. He might have tried to bring
in circumstances that may have led to the breaking of what God en-
graved in you.
But worry not, for the Lord your God says; He will write on the new
tablets the words that were on the first tablets which were broken. He
will restore all that you are meant to be and meant to have.
No measure of brokenness can stop God from restoring you to what He
initially intended you to be and have. Nothing can stop God from ac-
complishing restoration in all areas of your life.

LET GOD DEFINE YOU With Abbie Chimbamata

Zechariah 8:3
“I’ve come back to Zion, I’ve moved back to Jerusalem.Jerusalem’s
new names will be Truth City, and Mountain of God-of-the-Angel
Armies,and Mount Holiness.”

In this Scripture, we are made to understand that the presence of God in your life,
will make you what you are supposed to be. When God decided to forgive Jerusa-
lem and be their God again, he said ‘their name changed’. Their real identity was
revealed.
As humans, we mostly define ourselves by the situations happening around us,
that current trouble or hardship that is happening in our lives, we allow it to de-
fine us.
Those happy moments, those good days, we let them define us at that time. There-
fore, we become wavy when it comes to defining our true identity. Today we are
this, tomorrow that.
In John 8:1-11 we see a woman whose identity changed from a woman caught in
sin to a forgiven woman. Her identity changed from guilty to free. From shame to
loved.
God is the one who defines us truly! So let GOD DEFINE YOU!
Man will define you based on your failures, your troubles, but not our God! Stop
defining yourself or letting the world define you. Let God alone, define you.
YOUR IDENTITY IS WHO GOD SAYS YOU ARE.

In Mark 5: 25, there was a woman who had a flow of blood for twelve years, peo-
ple made this disease become her identity but when she touched the garment of
Jesus, she was no longer the woman with an issue of blood, she became healed!
She became the woman of great faith!!!
Her identity was what she became when she encountered Jesus. You will have an
identity crisis if you don’t let God alone identify you. So LET GOD DEFINE YOU.

Prayer: Declare God’s identity upon each area of your life.

MEET GRACE With Abbie Chimbamata

John 2:2 - 11
[11] She answered, No one, Lord! And Jesus said, I do not condemn
you either. Go on your way and from now on sin no more.

In this passage the Pharisses wanted to stone a woman who was found in
the very act of committing adultery. We see them going to Jesus and pre-
tending to seek wisdom from him, even though they already knew what
they needed to do according to the law.

And Jesus said to them; “if anyone here has no sin, let him throw the
first stone.” But no one could do it. This woman deserved a punishment,
according to the law. But she met grace and it was no longer her price to
pay.

When you meet Jesus, when you meet Grace, your story is no longer
your story. You cannot meet grace and remain the same.

The Pharisees brought this woman to Jesus for condemnation, little did
they know they were introducing her to Grace.

They used her to test Jesus but they didn’t know they were giving her
over from the law to Grace!

Child of God, you may be considered the worst or a failure but wait until
you MEET GRACE! When you meet grace, even the world will have no
say over your life. Because you are no longer of the law but of Grace.

Prayer: Pray that you will encounter the grace of God that will change
you for His glory.

JUST LIKE JESUS With Ireen Machira

Luke 24:38 And as they thus spake, Jesus himself stood in the midst
of them, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you.

Jesus was sold by someone from his inner circle, brutally beaten, spit on,
denied, rejected, turned against and crucified. But despite everything
he went through, at this moment in our quoted Scripture (after His res-
urrection), He still had the mercy to wish his disciples well, he wished
them peace.

A lot of us have grown bitter because of what we have gone through. We

have allowed situations to define us. We have been betrayed, rejected,
abused, raped and all that has caused us to be so deeply wounded and
made us bitter.

But do not allow situations change who you are. Jesus went through all
that but didn’t become bitter towards others. With holes in his hands he
still declared peace to his disciples. What a man!

We should never be moved by situations, because our paths are orches-

trated by God. God is always with you, he never leaves nor forsakes you.
He’s there in the darkest moment and whatever happens in your life,
works together for your good. Don’t allow situations to change you.

Prayer: Pray that God will heal you and set you free from situ-
ations that may have caused anger and bitterness in you.

WALKING IN THE WILL OF GOD With Ireen Machira

Genesis 2:10-14
And a river went out of Eden to water the garden; and from thence it
was parted, and became into four heads. The name of the first is Pison:
that is it which compasseth the whole land of Havilah, where there is
gold; And the gold of that land is good: there is bdellium and the onyx
stone. And the name of the second river is Gihon: the same is it that
compasseth the whole land of Ethiopia. And the name of the third riv-
er is Hiddekel: that is it which goeth toward the east of Assyria. And
the fourth river is Euphrates.

Eden in it’s original translation means pleasure and garden means enclo-
sure, meaning to say the garden of Eden is an enclosure of pleasure, as in
being confined in somebody’s (God’s) pleasure which is His will.

God placed man in His will (the garden of Eden) and made sure that
while there, four things followed everyone that remained in His will
-the garden of Eden. This garden was watered by 4 rivers; Pison, Gihon,
Hiddekel and Euphrates. These are the things that water everyone that
choose to walk in God’s will and remain there.

Pison from it’s original translation means increase and we’re told that
the place it surrounds has gold. If you choose to walk in God’s will, only
that which he has purposed for you, you can only but increase, growth is
guaranteed!

Gihon in it’s original translation means bursting forth. In God’s will,

there are no limitations whatsoever because our God is not limited to
anything. He does what only He can do and when you walk in his will,
you have no choice but to break out. Our will is normally limited to how
far we’re able to see, to what is making sense but God’s will operates be-
yond limitations.
Hiddekel means rapid. When you choose to walk in the will of God
you’re set above the average, you move at a faster rate because God al-
ready has calculated your moves.

The last river that waters the garden of Eden is Euphrates which means
fruitfulness. You cannot be a child of God and not be fruitful, that’s a
waste of resources because God commanded each one of us to be fruitful
and multiply. Many are the times we fail to bear fruits because we’re wa-
tering the seeds given to us with the wrong water.

Choose to walk in God’s will today.

Prayer: Pray that His will will always prevail in your life.

LIVE IN REVERENCE FOR GOD With Agness Mbewe

2 Samuel 6:6-7 ESV

6 And when they came to the threshing floor of Nacon, Uzzah put out
his hand to the ark of God and took hold of it, for the oxen stumbled.
7 And the anger of the Lord was kindled against Uzzah, and God
struck him down there because of his error, and he died there beside
the ark of God.

God had given instructions on how His Presence (the Ark of the Lord)
was to be handled.
In the quoted scripture we see that Uzzah was struck dead by God be-
cause the Ark was about to fall so he touched it to prevent it from falling.
For someone who did not know about God’s covenant and instructions
to His people, it can be considered that Uzzah did the right thing.
Many things may be right to do with your life/body, but not all things
will bring the blessing or approval or pleasure of God.

Touching the Ark to steady it was the right thing to do by human under-
standing and in that moment, but to God it was despicable!

As a temple hosting the presence of God, you need to be careful with

how you handle the treasure that you carry. You can no longer handle
things as you please, or make dealings and associations without His
guidance. Recognise that you are housing a Holy God who hates to be
associated with anything unclean.

Set yourself apart because of what you carry. As you set yourself apart for
God, God sets you apart in life.

Any life lived without reverence for God will not enjoy the fullness of
God and His presence.

Prayer: Proclaim that you will live a life that will honor God.

BELIEVE With Agness Mbewe

Mark 11:24
Boldly believe for whatever you ask for in prayer— be convinced that
you have received it and it will be yours.

God calls you to a place of faith where you move, confess and act as one
who has already received what you have asked for. God is calling you to
believe Him for what His Word says and what the Holy Spirit tells you.

This is the place where you hold on to what God says He will do even
when;
Your body is ageing like with Abraham and Sarah (Roman’s 4:18-21; He-
brews 11:11-12)
It looks ridiculous and insane like with Noah (Hebrews 11:7)
No one else believes your dreams like with Joseph (Genesis 37:7-11)
It’s too risky like with Esther (Esther 4:11-16)

Not every step will make sense, to you or to the people around you. It is
faith that will keep you going. Understand that grace is a giver and faith
is a receiver, one needs faith to receive what is given by Grace.

Believe God even if you have no reference. If you will believe God ONLY
for the things you have seen Him do in other people’s lives or in your
own life in the past, then you will never get to experience how far God
can and is willing to go with you. Wasn’t it God who said forget the for-
mer things for He is doing a new thing?

Believe that you have received from God and let your confessions and
actions be as one who has already received.

Prayer: Thank God for all things that you are believing Him for.
