A WOMAN AND FAITH

BY TAWINA JOLLEX-KASUNDA
He that observeth the wind shall not sow; and he that regardeth the
clouds shall not reap. As thou knowest not what is the way of the spirit, This issue:
nor how the bones do grow in the womb of her that is with child: even so
thou knowest not the works of God who maketh all.
Ecclesiastes 11:4-5 KJV

Here we find Solomon, the wise man, writing about a farmer, telling us A WOMAN AND FAITH
that he who observes the wind shall not sow: if you sow only when you

have seen the clouds form, chances are you will not sow. The very
PAGE 01
practice of farming is on account of faith!

You go to the field and you sow your seed not because you have seen

all the rain that should come that year ... no! Instead, you have faith PAGE 02
that rain will come and your crops will grow!

And Solomon draws an analogy of a pregnant woman saying, we don't POEM & SHORT STORY

know the way of the spirit nor how the bones in the womb of her that

is with child. Just as the farmer does not know how rain is going to

come, but he sows anyway because we know not the working of the

spirit! This is exactly what happens to a woman when she is pregnant:

she does not know how the bones are formed in the womb but she just

knows and is confident that she is carrying a child! AND THAT IS WHAT

FAITH MUST LOOK LIKE! PAGE 04

As a pregnant woman, you carry yourself accordingly because you

know what you are carrying inside is a baby! When did it change into

a baby? You don't know but you are just assured that's how it is to go

or that's how it's going. PAGE 05

It is not up to you to know how bones are formed, have faith in the

One who gave it to you! We are women because we have wombs, and

more than to birth natural babies which is great and beautiful, there's
UPCOMING EVENTS
a womb of your spirit that must birth out destinies and testimonies.

And like naturally women bank on faith (aware and unaware), in the PAGE 06
womb of your spirit, faith is vital in birthing out whatever the Lord has

deposited by His Word. Your qualifications may not look like it, you

may not know where the school fees will come from but here is to the

that school! Just know, the Lord will do it!

you need to
One thing I have realised and seen in this world is that a lot of
access
whatever has
people hide their pain. They do not want other people to know

what they are feeling, or others to know what is bothering them

be it financial, emotional or marital/relationship issues. We

don't know how to find people to confide in for fear of being

judged, so we just cover up whatever we are feeling and make been made
available in
others believe everything is alright with us.

We live in a world where most people lie and are proud. When

God is faith."
you are proud, you don't know how to speak out about what

you are feeling inside but you want everyone around to think

everything is well and you have it all figured out. Christians

and non-Christians alike, are living like this, not desiring to look

TAWINA JOLLEX-
weak or vulnerable.

KASUNDA
But at the point when we are weak, strength rolls in! We see it

in Scripture that to those who are weak God will provide

strength! It is when we humbly ask of God in our weakness

when He shows up and provides strength, but if you keep

pretending all is well, you miss out on strength.

You may be a pastor, public speaker, celebrity, don't be afraid

to show your pain. Jesus felt the pain and weight of His

assignment, and wept in the garden of Gesthemane. And He

was strengthened to carry on! So speak out, and seek spiritual

or professional help if necessary for "a problem shared is half

solved.

There are people, the likes of TD Jakes, Oprah, Joyce Meyer,

Sarah Jakes Roberts, who have been refined by the pain they

had to endure. Refined to greatness. And as they tell their

stories, people are helped. People are directed onto paths of

healing.

Don't hide your pain. Speak out, share with those you trust and

seek help.

My confidence is in you

lover of my soul
You replete my stomach
When I hunger and thirst
A slave made monarch
Undeserving I was but you dethroned yourself to save me

I've divorced the terrestrial realm

Though these bones rot and flesh decompose
Yet my vows I bear in your name
I rest my soul knowing you died but so you rose
And though cords of death entangle me I break free in glory

MY HEART- MY GARDEN
She kept on pacing around her room like someone who was being chased...
Deeply lost in her thoughts, Lily was restless,. She needed new ideas on what to do with her garden
once the sun was up. It was already midnight when she took her pen and paper to jot down her ideas.

Meanwhile Mimi was turning her body for the fifth time, lost in her wonderland of sleep. Suddenly, something tapped
her and she was awaken . Nonetheless, she wasn't ready to trade her sleep for anything
..lazily she zoomed back to her sleep.
MORNING.....
It was a beautiful morning. As usual, Lily was ready to go to her garden. She carried her gardening tools with ideas flowing.
Meanwhile, Mimi was still sleeping like a queen, convincing herself that she would attend to her garden later.
AT THE GARDEN....
Lily started to uproot all the weeds in her garden. After watering the plants and doing all the necessary work she
decided to fix the fence to prevent animals from destroying her crops without being bothered by the hot sun
that was burning her skin.
"Done!" She exclaimed to herself. She sat under a tree, leaned her back to rest
confident and relieved that her garden was safe.
HOURS LATER...
Mimi stood up on her feet after wasted hours of sleeps. She carried her tools and headed for her garden.
Alas! The crops had dried up and been destroyed by animals. It was a mess. She tried breaking the ground
with the hope of saving the remaining crops but the ground was hard as hard as a rock.
Standing there she remembered that a week had gone by without attending to her garden.
She had been busy with the village dances.
Mimi cried out loud and realised that it was the end of her.
A MONTH LATER...
A season to sell the crops was due and Lily sold her crops, she made enough money to sustain her,
while Mimi had nothing to show for her life.
THE END

IT ALL MATTERS!
It is so evident that self-imposed change is easier to deal with than a change that has been
influenced by unfortunate circumstances. However, whether positive or undesired,
change can yield desired outcomes.
The truth is, you can embark on a self-imposed change, with good intentions,
but still end up with undesired outcomes. On the other hand, you can encounter undesired change
but still get the best out of it.

One way to make any kind of change beneficial, is to be intentional about getting the best out of it.
Ever wondered how you wanted to be on your A game by March 2022 but you seem not to be getting any
closer to your desired change? Here's something simple to remember; change is not an incident, it is an
experience, and because change is an experience, every moment matters.

The effectiveness of your change will depend on how you intentionally learn and appreciate every
experience in your transitioning process.

It is said to always start with the end in mind. Absolutely brilliant!

However, at times you can start with the end in mind and still not be sure of how to get to that end.
"How do I get to my desired end? Are there any special experiences or moments that would help me get
there?"
I'll tell you what, the more you wait and look for specific experiences or moments,
the more you deny yourself the opportunity of growing through the process. You need to consider
each and every experience special, because all that, will help you get to your desired outcome.

The loneliness you may feel for being the only one understanding the depth of that change in your life,
The comfort of having caring family and friends standing with you throughout the process,
Those encouraging words you randomly come across on social media,
All that matters and will get you there!
Those restless days you spend figuring out if you really need that change,
The joy of knowing that this change is a great and most beneficial shift in your life,
Even the struggle of figuring out how best you can adapt to that change,
All that matters, and will get you there!
The sleepless nights you spend worrying whether your business will ever bounce back from that change,
All the times you spend thinking of how you can improve your grades
amidst you not being sure where to get your next school fees,
The gratitude for the opportunity to have a new job, while at times wondering if at all your skills are being
recognised in the team at your new job,
All that matters, and will get you there!
People that immensely benefit from any type of change, don't wait for special specific experiences, they
appreciate, learn and grow from each and every single experience. Make every moment your classroom
because every experience matters, and will get you to your desired outcome.

As you embark on your change journey, be it losing weight,

gaining weight, losing a job, getting a new job, losing a loved one, getting married,
giving birth, losing the market for your business, starting a new business,
my prayer for you is that you will find tranquillity in understanding that every moment,
is fuel for your best outcome.
