Breaking generational curses

Today our prayers will be targeted at breaking

generational curses. A generational curse is sin that
increases from one generation to the next. It affects
every member of the family and all who are in
relationship with that person.

Father, we invite the Holy Spirit to come in, now. God,

you have given every believer the power and authority
in your son Jesus´s name to overtake the ways of the
enemy. Before Jesus ascended to be seated at the
right hand of you, Father, he said: “All power is given
me in Heaven and in Earth. Matthew 28,18. Jesus
immediately delegated his authority in the earth to the
church. Matthew 28,19.

Lord God, we come humbly before you today to

confess sins that our forefathers and ourselves have
committed. We have not obeyed your word. We have
committed sins against you and as a result it has
opened doors for the devil to reinforce generational
curses in our families. Let the blood of your son Jesus
purify us from every sin that we've committed against
you.

Holy Spirit, purge every curse that has passed on in

our family from one generation to the next. In Matthew
28, 18, in Mark 16 ,17-18, it says that you promise
that these signs shall follow them that believe in your
name. Angels, men and demons have to bow at that
name and these signs shall follow them that believe in
my name: they shall cast out devils, they shall speak
with new tongues, they shall take up serpents and if
they drink anything deadly it shall not hurt them, they
shall lay hands on the sick and they shall recover.

Proverbs 26, 2 says: “Like a fluttering sparrow or a

darting swallow, an undeserved curse does not come
to rest”. In the name of Jesus, I reverse every curse
that has affected our communities: violence, domestic
abuse, neglect, homicide, fatherlessness, suicide. I
break off the curse of familial bondage. Father God, I
asked that you close every door, every portal, every
hole that allows the enemy to come in.

Psalm 32, 7 says: “You are my hiding place, you will

protect me from trouble and surround me with songs
of deliverance”. I declare that our goal with this prayer,
Father God, is that every listener would be set free
from generational curses.

In Ephesians 1,18 it says that: “I pray that the eyes of

your people would be opened and enlightened so that
they may know what is the hope of their calling”. I pray
that they may know the riches of your glory. I pray that
each listener may know the exceeding greatness of
your power toward all who believe according to the
working of your mighty power. Every curse spoken,
written or transferred is broken by the blood of Jesus.

I break off every generational curse of poor health. I

rebuke (reproof, reprimend) cancer, leukemia, MS
(Multiple sclerosis), fibromyalgia, Alzheimer's, heart
disease, coronary artery disease, high cholesterol,
being obese, liver disease, kidney disease,
alcoholism, drug addiction, high blood pressure, low
blood pressure, brain tumors, every kind of tumor,
cataracts, blindness, deafness, lupus, Lyme's disease,
diabetes, polio, strokes, bronchitis, aids, asthma, HIV,
respiratory infections.

I take authority in the name of Jesus over every kind

of sickness and disease. I declare and decree that
every organ within our bodies be covered with the
blood of Jesus. I declare and decree that every organ
in every body shall function as it was created to
function. I declare and decree that new limbs will
grow, that sight will be restored back to the blind, that
the deaf shall hear and the lame shall walk. We read
in John 10,10 that the enemy's plan is to kill, steal and
destroy. God also tells us in John 10,10 that his plan
for our lives is abundant life.

Heavenly Father, we ask that you heal those who

need a physical touch from you. You always heal,
God, either here in earth or in heaven. Thank you,
God, that you tell us in 1 Peter 2,24: He himself bore
our sins in his own body on that tree that we, having
died to sin, might live for righteousness. By Jesus´s
stripes we are healed. Oh, Lord Jesus, Job 22,28
says that “I will declare a thing and it shall be
established”. I cancel and nullify any curses that were
spoken over listeners´ lives intentionally or
unintentionally in the name of Jesus. I cancel the
effects of those negative words over our families and
future generations in the name of Jesus. I declare and
decree that generational curses of sickness, poverty,
marital failure, bareness, rage, alcoholism and lying
are null and void (cancelled). They will never manifest
themselves because we are free from them now in the
name of Jesus. I command the devil and his demons
to leave our families alone in the name of Jesus.

I break off the generational curses of heart hardness. I

repent for family members who have hardened hearts,
who are callous (cold hearted). I repent of those who
have held grudges and resentment, thoughts of
revenge towards those who've hurt them. I repent of
the curse of feudal thinking and all unforgiveness.
Those family members who've turned away from you
and your word. Forgive them, Lord. They have
rebelled and been stubborn toward you and do not
listen to your word.

I teach or ask you to teach each listener, Lord, how to

cast all their cares upon you: their hurts and their pain
on you, for you care for them. Lord, I apply the blood
of Jesus to wash away all the bitter roots of iniquity in
their family lines. In the name of Jesus, I break off a
generational curse of self-indulgence, gluttony,
haughtiness (arrogance), laziness, neglect and lack of
spiritual judgment and rebellion.

In 1 Samuel 15,23 your word tells us that rebellion is

as a sign of witchcraft and sin like witchcraft. I break
off the generational curse of people pleasing people
rather than pleasing God. I break off a generational
curse of fear that causes people pleasing people.
Your word tells us in 2 Timothy 1,7 that you do not
give us a spirit of fear but of power, of love and a
sound mind.

I break off the generational curse that says that I must

work hard or perform to be loved and accepted. 2
Timothy 1,9 says that “he has saved us and called us
with a holy calling not because of our own works but
by His purpose and by His grace he has granted us in
Christ Jesus before time eternal your blessings.”

I break off a generational curse of lust and

lasciviousness, of fornication and adultery in any
family lineage. I repent for those who although they
knew God, they have not obeyed the laws nor
commands. I repent for those who give their hearts to
sexual impurity.

I ask the generational curse of fatherlessness be

broken now. Abba Father, I pray for the thousands of
children here in the country who are without a father
to call their own and for the millions around the world
who are longing for a daddy. Unfortunately, we've
allowed the enemy, the devil, to come in and attack
families and rob families of God's inheritance. But
thank God, the enemy's original plan will not work and
God's original plan has not changed. Through Christ,
God has restored us all to his original plan. But just
like the devil attacked the first family, the devil is still
attacking homes and families today, planting quarrels,
diseases, separations and divorce. I recognize that
God's plan for your home and family is peace, love,
divine health, prosperity, mutual respect and
understanding. I praise You, God, that you care about
fathers and those who are fatherless. You are their
defender, their protector, their sustainer. You are their
Father when they have none.

I break off the generational curse of anger between

mothers and fathers who can only see their needs and
not the needs of their children. I declare and decree
that the hearts of the fathers will return to their
children and the hearts of the children to their fathers.
Malachi 4, 6. I renounce and break the curse that
says: I am a shame and disgrace to my family. I break
off the generational curse that says: I'm nothing and I
will never be anything. I renounce and break the curse
that says: I can't change and will never be anything, I
am not worthwhile, for Psalm 139 says: I am fearfully
and wonderfully made. I was knitted together in my
mother's womb.

I break off a generational curse of self-loathing of

harming oneself physically, of having low self-esteem.
I break off a curse of those who believe that their life
is an accident and has no purpose. Jeremiah 29,11
says: for I know the plans I have for you, declares the
Lord, plans to prosper you and not harm you, I know
the plans I have to give you hope and a future.

I renounce the channeling of spirits playing with Ouija

boards, black magic and white magic, being members
of secret societies. I renounce all occult activities and
close and seal all doors of the demonic worship and of
the reading of horoscopes. Deuteronomy 18, 9-14
says: when you enter the land the Lord, your God, is
giving you, do not learn to imitate the detestable ways
of the nation's there. Let no one be found among you
who sacrifices a son or daughter in the fire, who
practices divination or sorcery, who interprets omens,
who engages in witchcraft or cast spells or who is a
medium and consults the dead. Anyone who does
these things is detestable to the Lord and because of
these detestable practices, the Lord your God will
deliver you and drive you out of these nations, before
you. In the nations you will possess, listen to those
practices of sorcery and divination but you and as for
you, the Lord your God, has not permitted you to do
so.

I declare and decree that every listener listening to

this prayer will feed their spirit with the Word of God
and bathe their reading with times of Prayer. I break,
shatter, renounce and repent, dissolve and destroy all
generational curses that have visited any listeners´
family lineage. Lord, please restore generational
blessings, anointings and giftings of those that have
been stolen by the enemy. He must give them back in
your name. I ask God that you seal entry points that
the enemy may have entered and seal the work the
Lord has done. I declare that the kingdom of God is
not a matter of talk but of power. I pray that every
listener choose to walk in the freedom that Christ has
bought them in the name of Jesus, amen. I bind
anything not submitted to Jesus Christ. Lord, sanctify
the listeners´ gifts, their spirit, their soul, and their
body. Sanctify their minds and imaginations. I pray for
generational blessings to come forth now. Please,
bring back to every listener´s mind those gifts and
talents that you have bestowed upon (granted) them
within their family lineage.

Dear Heavenly Father, you are the King of kings and

Lord of lords, my eternal rock of salvation. You alone
are worthy to be praised in worship. You are worthy to
receive all honor and glory goes to you alone, God
Almighty, the Alpha and the Omega, and all that was
and is and is to come. I thank you, God, that you are
the God that lifts up your people out of the pit of
despair and forgave my sins and clothed me in pure
righteousness of Jesus Christ my Lord and Savior.

Lord, you have told us the secret of fruitfulness is to

abide in you and to remain in you and let the word of
Christ dwell in you, dwell in me richly to grow in grace
and mature with faith by coming to know the Lord
Jesus more and more intimately.

Lord, in your Grace and kindness, draw me closer to

you and give me a willing heart, a teachable spirit,
listening ears and a watching heart, so that I may
come to know and love you more and more each
passing day. I pray this in truth, peace, hope, love and
joy. Amen
