1.Which of the 3 historical colonizers has the most impact on Filipinos today?

 The Philippines have three major colonizers, the Spaniards, the Japanese and the
Americans. Japanese people colonized the country for about three intense years, while the
Americans colonized the country for 48 years and the Spaniards colonized the country for
about 333 years long. According to that, I could say that the Spaniards strongly affected
the Filipino culture and everything compared to the two colonizers. Being colonized that
long could happen a lot of things such as adaptation of their culture, traditions and the
adaptation their language which can be seen as one of their solid proof of influence that
we Filipino people are currently using. Half of our identity as a Filipino is a mixture of
influence from our different colonizers especially from Spaniards. Their influence are
embedded in our past thus, brought and affecting our present. It cannot be erased in our
identity.

2. What is the effect of Martial Law?

 When martial law is in effect, the military commander of an area or country has unlimited
authority to make and enforce laws. Typically, the imposition of martial law accompanies
curfews, the suspension of civil law, civil rights, habeas corpus, and the application or
extension of military law or military justice to civilians. However, during Marcos time
Martial law, only writ of habeas corpus was suspended.

3.Do you consider Aguinaldo a revolutionary?

 Emilio Aguinaldo did everything that he could in his power to bring back the Philippines
that way it was before by removing the Spaniard in the soil of our country. Yet,
Aguinaldo and the Katipunan that he established was the beginning of the revolutionary
that has a purpose to take back the Philippines governance to its self or at least seeks for
total equality between the Filipino and the Spaniards before the law. It is indeed that
Katipunan and Aguinaldo didn’t achieve a complete victory against the Spaniards in
some circumstances, his bravery that started the revolution together with his motive
which is to give what’s best for our country is enough for me to consider him a
revolutionary and a hero of this country.

4. Why is Constitution needed?

 Having a constitution is highly necessary of every country as it stand as the foundation of
how a country itself should function. It determines or states the relationship of the
citizens and the government. A constitution is made of guidelines and principles so that
its people could live together in harmony. A constitution is the foundation of the
government system without it, it is unimaginable how a country would exist or survive.
