2 Problem Description

Customer want to know the different between DPUb board and DPUe borad. Is it the best
solution to keep one type board in same sub-rack? And how to evaluation the DPUe board is
enough or not in the RNC.
It is required to clarify the above questions as soon as possible.

3 Problem Analysis

3.1 Analysis Summary

The analysis procedure of the issue is list as below.
1) Is it the best solution to keep one type DPU board in same sub-rack?
2) How to evaluation the DPUe board is enough or not in the RNC.

3.2 Is it the best solution to keep one type DPU board

in same sub-rack
Actually keep one type DPUx board in one sub-rack is not necessary.
The High speed User (rate more than 42M) not support in DPUb board. If only have the
DPUb board will lead to these User limitation. The user reach 42M must use the DPUe board.
Actually, based on the experience, if the DPUb carry the 21M user will lead to the CPU load
very high.
DPUe board performance is higher than DPUb board. It can configure the R8 terminal is
preferentially carried on the DPUe board.
In each sub-rack have the DPUe board will be the best configuration. If resources are
sufficient, the DPUe board is enough, recommended configuration DPUe board.
When the DPUb and the DPUe board in same sub-rack, how to balance the load between
DPUb and DPUe. Actually use the UP load sharing to balance the CPU load for each DSP
subsystem. For the load sharing cannot guarantee perfect balance, the load balancing is
relative, the balanced need to think the board numbers, load sharing threshold and the site in
the sub-rack.
Different for DPUb and DPUe board as below:
