IA prompt: WHAT ROLE DOES IMAGINATION PLAY IN PRODUCING KNOWLEDGE ABOUT THE

WORLD?

Imagination is the aspect of creating new ideas as a form of a picture or image in someome's
mind. It has two important benefits: helps in developing knowledge without the help of our
senses, secondly it also hepls in understanding different concepts better.

Imagination also creates new knowledge, for example scientific discoveries would have not exist
if not of the help of imagination.

The role imagination play in producing can also be understood by this statement; "For
imagination is more important than knowledge. For knowledge is limited to all we know and
understand, while imagination embraces the entire world and all there ever will be to know and
understand." said by Albert EINSTEIN

This exhibition explores or shows how imagination helps to reflect on our previous knowledge
and the new knowledge acquired or learned about the world around us.

My object is an illustration named "The Guardian" by Sophie Wolfson. From the object, it shows
the mental imagery can accelerate learning and improve on our knowledge. My conclusion is
we should never understimate the power of visualisation.
