Project presentation

1 slide)
Hello everyone! Today, through this project, entitled A popular holiday in the UK I
want to refer to one of the most famous holiday both in the UK and around the
world. It is a wonderful feast that will take place very soon.

2 slide)
And this is Valentine's Day, a holiday in which love floats in the air. Valentine’s
Day is a holiday when lovers express their affection with greetings and gifts. It is
also called St. Valentine’s Day. The holiday has expanded to express affection
between relatives and friends.

3 slide)
Before presenting this wonderful holiday, I want to refer to a quote that will
describe.
,,Love is a partnership of two unique people who bringt out the very best in each
other, and who know that even though they are wonderful as individuals, they are
even better together’’. I fully support this quote, because love really represents a
great feeling, which moves suns and stars, as Dante Alighieri said. Some possible
definitions of love include: A willingness to prioritize another's well-being or
happiness above your own. Extreme feelings of attachment, affection, and need.
Dramatic, sudden feelings of attraction and respect. A fleeting emotion of care,
affection, and like.

Here's a good question: How is Valentine’s Day celebrated?
Valentine’s Day is commonly celebrated by exchanging handmade or store-bought
“Valentines” (greeting cards) or other tokens of affection like chocolates and
flowers. In many schools, it has become customary for young students to bring in
Valentines to swap with classmates. Traditions of the holiday’s observance can
vary with the country.

Another important question is How do people celebrate Valentine’s Day in the
UK?
Valentine’s Day in the UK can be celebrated in a few different ways. Some people
celebrate with their partner, some with their friends and some don’t celebrate at all!
Here are some of the ways Valentine’s day in England, and the rest of the UK, is
celebrated. Of course, the most common way that Valentine’s Day in the UK is
celebrated is by couples who want to do something romantic. Restaurants are often
fully booked for the occasion and special events such as romantic music recitals
take place. Many British people exchange cards and gifts with their loved ones.
However, for a lot of couples, Valentine’s day is just another day. They prefer to
make a big deal out of birthdays, or just do romantic things with their partner
whenever they feel like it, rather than on one specific day.

Now I want to present you a small video that reflects the history of this important
day. I wish you a pleasant viewing!

7 slide)
Undoubtedly, Valentine's Day is a holiday spread all over the world.
The day is popular in the United States as well as in Britain, Canada, and Australia,
and it is also celebrated in other countries, including Argentina, France, Mexico,
and South Korea. In the Philippines, it is the most common wedding anniversary,
and mass weddings of hundreds of couples are not uncommon on that date. The
holiday has expanded to expressions of affection among relatives and friends.
Many schoolchildren exchange valentines with one another on this day. This
holiday is also celebrated in our country, in Moldova, with great pomp.

8 slide)
And in conclusion, I want to note that this holiday is an extraordinary one, which
fills our soul with love and affection and teaches us to be better. Love is a
wonderful feeling that must be celebrated every day, not just on Valentine's Day ...
Thank you very much for your attention during the presentation!
