DATE : 6 July (Monday) – 10 July (Friday)

WRITTEN BY : Nur Husna binti Hifni

A Movement Control Order or commonly known as the MCO was started due to the
increasingly unpredictable Covid-19 pandemic in Malaysia. The MCO has been approved
by the government to prevent the epidemic from spreading started on 18 March 2020.

During MCO, I had learned a lot. When I am at home, especially when we are not allowed
to go out when there us no need, I feel rather bored. So then I’m just noticed there are many
interesting television shows in astro. I’m feel a bit exited about it because I know watching
television always seem fun for me. Then, incidentally Harry Potter’s movies became one of
my favourite movie. I had watch it when I was ten years old but I’m not all interested. So
when I’m started to love the movie, I thought about buying Harry Potter’s books. By taking
the time to read the book, I was able to learn many new words in English that I had never
known. I even improved my ability to speak English as well.

The government has extended the MCO until the month of Syawal and therefore, the
month of Ramadhan will also be celebrated in the MCO. My siblings and I, often help mom
in the kitchen to prepare the feasts for iftar. Therefore, our free time when the MCO are not
wasted by doing useless things. As Hari Raya approached, we began to prepare for the
celebration. For example, we made many different types of cookies and cake. With all this, I
can learn more about cooking while spending time with my family.

The issues of Covid-19 pandemic is still not fully recovered in Malaysia and has led to
further MCO. There are many changes when this phase occurs. Among them are, all
supermarket are not allowed to operate until late at night and all school are closed. Therefore,
teachers should ensure that all students are constantly learning by taking online classes.
Learning at school will continue as usual even when you are at home. As a student, I had to
get up early every morning so I would not miss my class. I also have to complete the
homework provided by the teachers for each subject on a due date. With this, I can learn to
make myself more disciplined and learn to be punctual.

I’m grateful that Covid-19 issues in Malaysia are getting recovered each day. I will always
obey the guidelines given by the health authorities. Soon, the school will reopen. It really
took the wind out of his sails and it will took me a while to get my strength and spirit back. I
know Malaysia will be able to containment the pandemic. We’re all in this together. Stay
home stay safe.
