Specifications for supply of aluminum profile, fittings and accessories

1.0 Scope: This document specifies the requirements for supply of aluminum extruded profile,
fittings and accessories as per technical specifications.
2.0 Bidder qualification and bid evaluation criterion:
2.1 The Bidder shall be either an original manufacturer (OM) of aluminum profiles and accessories
or an authorized representative/dealer of the OM. In case of an authorized
representative/dealer, the bidder shall submit a valid authorization certificate from the OM
along with quotation. Authorization certificate must be issued prior to the date of this tender
and must be valid on due date of the tender.
2.2 Evaluation of the offer/bid shall be based on technical specifications attached to the tender and
on the basis of total landed cost at RRCAT site.
2.3 The quoted aluminum extruded profile, fittings and accessories shall be standard catalogue
items. Catalogue of all the quoted items must be submitted along with the offer.
2.4 The entire items along with their quantity indicated in the Table-2 are termed as one lot. Cost
comparison of bids shall be done on the basis of lot only and order for entire quantity shall be
placed on overall L1 basis.

4. Acceptance:
RRCAT will accept the extruded profile, fittings and accessories on the basis of mill
certificate from OM. In case mill certificates are not available, profile will be accepted on
the basis of test certificates (chemical analysis and mechanical properties) from NABL
approved lab, technical specifications and vendor’s compliance certificate that establishes
conformance to the technical specifications.
5. Packing:
Packaging shall provide adequate protection against handling forces so as to avoid scratches
and other damage to aluminium profile and accessories.
6. Delivery Schedule:
The items shall be delivered to stores, IRPSU, RRCAT premises within 3 months of
placement of purchase order and settlement of commercial terms.
