1. Project Title: Project Aventra, East Anglia and South West Train.
Client : Bombardier Transportation.
Tools Used : CATIA V5, Enovia VPM, PDM
Responsibility: Generating concept Design Proposals, Coordinating team for drawing creation, Final Checking
of Manufacturing Drawings, Requirements Gathering, participating in design reviews in cross functional team
meetings
Design description:

South West Infill :South West Railway has the requirement of closing the visible gaps between the
interface of side walls, CBW trim saloon and CAB Door and should also serve as a barrier for fire and
smoke not entering in to CAB area

CAB Desk Plug and Play: East Anglia CAB Desk Plug and Play is the Engineering change request from
Methods team objective of the design was to study existing design of CAB Desk installation, identify the
changes to be made as to combine many small assemblies and make one single big assemblies which can
be plug and played by which assembly time can be reduced

CBW Trim Saloon: East Anglia CBW Trim Saloon has a requirement of wooden laminated partition Wall,
Mounting of Door to which only driver can have accesses to enter saloon area, mounting of camera which
has adjustment for vertical and angular rotation and easy accesses for maintenance

Design Considerations: GM\RT2100 Rail Vehicle Elements, Design for Maintenance, Design for
manufacturability, Design for Assembly (METHODS), Interface requirements

Inputs : Unit Arrangements and Car layouts, IDD surfaces, SRD (System requirement Documents), Interfaces,
CFT meetings and legacy design.
Design Responsibilities:
 Study of IDD surfaces, Space envelope and interfaces.

Objective of the Projects was to study the design of Cab floor, Cab back wall Cubicles, Cab Side walls,
Cab ladder cupboard and Emergency cupboards. And create the 2D drawings

1. Project Title: Project 2FC Machine.

Tools Used : Auto CAD, Solid works
Role : Design Engineer

2FC Machine consist of horizontal, vertical motion and rotation motion for Bucky. There are two variants
manual and fully automated. Fully automated variant has feature as auto tracking and auto positioning in
which source and imager are tracked and positioned automatically
2. Project Title: Project C-Arm.
Tools Used : Solid Works, Auto CAD
Role : Design Engineer

C-arm consists of aluminium casting to shape of a ‘C’ called c-arm. The c-arm has five degrees of motion
of which the up-down motions is motorized and horizontal, wigwag, rotation, orbital is manual. The
imager, camera and tube head are mounted to the c-arm. The X-ray produced by tube is converted into
video by imager intensifier and camera. C-arm is used for ortho, neurology and many other medical
applications.
3. Project Title: Mobile X-Ray Machine.
Tools Used : Solid Works, Auto CAD
Role : Design Engineer

Mobile DR X-Ray Machine consist of arm with angular movement which give up-down movement to X-
ray source and the arm is counter balanced with the help of spring force.

Project Title: Briquetting Machine.

Briquetting machine consist of a hoper where wood powder is feed to the machine and then wood
powder is feed to the die through the screw feed and hydraulic piston is pressed to the wood powder in
the die to form briquettes

machine components.
