“RATIO ANALYSIS OF HAVELLS INDIA
LIMITED”

1. Brief introduction

A study on the working capital management will be done at Havells India


Ltd. Delhi. It is an Indian leading multi-product electric engineering
organization with expertise and experience in the field of Electrical
products and its accessories. The study will focus on Havells past five
years working capital management and its credit policy there by
identifying how Havells efficiently balance between the risk and
profitability.

2. Objectives of the study


The study will evolve around the following broad objectives:
• To examine the working capital position and identifying the method of
financing working capital in Havells.
• To study the liquidity position of Havells.
• To examine how the components of current assets are managed in
Havells.
• To analyze the effectiveness of company in managing the capital.
• To find out the sources from which funds have been obtained for
meeting the working capital requirements of the company.

3. Usefulness of the Project


 This project will help in getting useful insights about the industry
trends and about the company itself i.e. Havells India Ltd. Delhi.
 It will also help by providing the base for the future research and will
also help the future researchers with the useful insights.
4. PROPOSED RESEARCH METHODOLOGY
4.1 Universe
All items in any field of enquiry constitute a ‘universe’ or ‘population’. A
complete enumeration of all items in the population is known as a census
enquiry. For this study the universe will consist of all the employees working at
Havells India Ltd. Delhi.

4.2 Sample Size


It will not feasible to cover all the employees, so for this study 30 employees
will be selected. Convenience sampling method will be used for selecting
sample.

4.3 Data Collection Method


For this study, both the primary and secondary data will be collected.
For primary data, a structured questionnaire with a set of sequenced questions
on various aspects related to employee satisfaction will be developed and
administrated to the respondents.
For secondary data, existing literature in the form of magazines, paper, and
company, literature, books, journal, and web sources will be consulted.

4.4 Data collection tools


To collect a primary data a structured, closed-ended, multiple choice
questionnaires will be prepared and will administrated to the sample of
respondents. Questions will be related to general profile of respondents,
employees’ satisfaction related to work environment, problem face by them in
organization etc.
4.5 Data Presentation tools
The data will be presented with the help of pie charts and tables. These will
specifically use to present the data collected from respondents through
questionnaire.

4.6 Limitation foreseen


• The study is purely based on the information contained in the annual reports
and company website, so the study is limited to the data collected from them.
• The data are collected from a single office of Havells India Ltd., so it is
difficult to generalize on it about the working of entire Havells operation.
• The reliability and accuracy of the calculation depends very much on the
information found in the financial statements and its reliability.

4.7 Conclusion and Recommendations


Relevant conclusion and recommendations will be drawn after the completion
of the research.
