Moscow is the capital of Russia and the most populous city in this country.

Founded in 1147 on the

Moskva River by Prince Yuri Dolgoruky, after which the city quickly developed and became the capital in
the 16th century. Now Moscow is one of the largest cities in Europe with a population of more than 15
million people. It is the political, cultural and financial center of Russia, so people from all over the world
want to come there.

Like any capital of the country, Moscow has a large number of attractions. The most popular of them are
Red Square and the Kremlin, which are located in the heart of the city. These places performed
protective functions before, but now they are the main tourist’s places of interest in Russia. Also Red
Square in the place for largest parades and celebrations, including the Day of Victory, for example.

In addition to the red Square itself, there are also many attractions on its territory. They aren’t so
popular, but still have significance for the city and its history. Tsar-Cannon, Tsar-Bell, the Annunciation
Cathedral, the State Duma building – this is a small list of attractions on the territory of the Square. In
addition, the Spasskaya tower, which is located in the territory of the Red Square too. It is the highest
tower of all Kremlin and its symbol.

Another popular attraction outside the Kremlin is St. Basil's Cathedral. This Cathedral is a masterpiece of
Russian architecture, which was dedicated to the conquest of Kazan. In addition, there is a monument in
front of Cathedral that is dedicated to Minin and Pozharsky, who saved the independence of Russia.

Moscow also has many cultural buildings. The Bolshoi Theatre is one of these buildings that is visited by
more than 3,000 Muscovites and tourists every day. I have already visited this theater several times, and
I recommend visiting it to every citizen of the capital.

Another visited building with cultural significance is the Tretyakov Gallery. There are a huge number of
paintings by different authors and eras, so many artists want to visit this Gallery.

There is also enough space for entertainment in Moscow. Gorky Park is the most visited park in
Moscow, which is located directly opposite Luzhniki and along the Moskva River. In this Park, everyone
can find suitable entertainment countless of them and have a good time. The same can be said about all
the other parks in Moscow, which are more than 50.

Another place to relax in Moscow is the Moscow zoo. This zoo contains a huge number of animals,
including very rare ones. Here you can have a lot of fun, and at the same time usefully spend time and
see endangered species of animals.

The sports life of the capital is also not far behind. There are now 63 football stadiums built in Moscow,
including Luzhniki, which hosted the 2018 FIFA world Cup. This stadium is the 4th largest in Europe, and
I am proud that it belongs to Russia.

Ostankino Tower is the tallest tower in Moscow and in Russia, which is the 4th tallest structure in the
world. Its function is measurement, which forecasters use to predict the weather.

Moscow is a large educational center of Russia with many prestigious schools and universities. The most
