ZGO-04-04-001 TCH Migration to BCCH TRX

Prerequisite
The Configuration Management interface is opened.

Context
Generally, only a few TCH channels are occupied on a carrier in low traffic hours of a day. BCCH carrier can not be shut down. Therefore, the voice
services on non-BCCH carrier can be migrated to BCCH carrier and then the idle non-BCCH carrier can be shut down.

This feature can be used to centralize the traffic to BCCH carrier.

Steps
1. In the Configuration Resource Tree pane, right-click OMC > GERAN Subnetwork > BSC Managed Element > Config Set > BSC
Function, as shown in Figure97.

2. Choose Set System Control Parameter to open the Set System Control Parameter dialog box. Click the IBS Parameters tab and set the
BCCH forbidden TS merger time bitmap, as shown in Figure98.
