scenarios, such as Workload Partition (WPAR) in AIX. If the omc account has
existed, skip this step.
1. Use the root account to log in to the system, and execute the following
command in the command terminal to create an omc account:
#mkdir /home/omc
#useradd -d /home/omc -m -G dba omc
2. Execute the passwd omc command in the command terminal, and enter a new
password for the omc account.
Note:
l The length of the password must be no less than six characters.
l The password must contain digits, capital letters, and lowercase letters.
l The password must not contain more than four continuous digits or letters,
for example, 12345* or abcde*.
Note:
Before assigning IP addresses dynamically for NEs through DHCP (refer to the
step 10), the DHCP forwarding function must be configured.
If the DHCP forwarding function has been configured, the command terminal
will display DHCP relay had been configured, input "y" to re-configure it,

If the clock synchronization is activated, OMMB not only acquires a clock from the
external clock source but also serves as a clock source for other devices.
To make the operating system provide clock source for OMMB, execute the NTP
script as follows:
If two clock sources are required, use the ./ntp.sh 10.9.176.55 10.9.176.56
command format. 10.9.176.55 is the IP address of the main clock source.
10.9.176.56 is the IP address of the alternate clock source.
Execute the ntpq –p command to view the configuration.
#mkdir /export/home/omc
#useradd -G dba omc
#mkdir /home/omc
