The two contrasting capitals of

classical Europe
Vienna and Prague are two legendary cities. Both of them
represent the classical Europe. We thought it would be useful
to make a brief comparison between the two cities in this
article. We will not go into details about museums, prices,
tips, etc.
If you want an elegant, western city, then go to Vienna.
Prague is a bit more libertine. Although both cities are
attracting lots of tourists, Prague is busier, especially in the
central area. If you are a fan of the "old center", then Prague is
the answer. Although it has many historic buildings and
palaces, Vienna is much more contemporary.
In terms of elegance, Vienna is much better than Prague. The
Czech capital is simpler. Vienna is a bit more "sophisticated".
Traditional food is about the same in both cities. The Danube
passes through Vienna. The Prague people have Vltava.
However, I recommend the Czech capital for a romantic boat
ride.
Pay close attention to taxi drivers, pickpockets, and currency
exchange. Vienna is much safer from these points of view.
The weather is colder in Prague than in Vienna. In mid-
summer, you can be surprised to catch days with clouds,
wind, rain and 18 degrees in Prague. In Vienna, the weather is
much more predictable.
In the end, it’s up to you. Most importantly, don’t forget to
have fun, whichever city you’re going to visit!
