The Vision
Collection #1: Silk Suit
Create a collection of clothes from silk using a method that is:

a. More efficient than the conventional

one
b. Will not harm any life forms in the
process
c. Is free of toxins from, for example,
mordants
d. Is safer for the consumer
e. Combines the concepts of synthetic
design + biology + ahimsa silk
 The Method
1. Gather all physical materials: silkworm eggs, mulberry
leaves, incubator
2. Raise the silkworms and, in the meantime, create a
webbed foundation for them (w/ Blender) to spit silk
onto once they start metamorphosing
3. Once they’re ready, place them on the foundation and
watch them weave around its structure
4. Allow the larvae to metamorphosize into Bombyx Mori
5. Boil the silk caste to remove it from the mannequin
foundation
6. Create natural dyes from S. Coelicolor, onion skins, or
anything in between
7. Dye the clothes
