If 9th grade students will be able to use English Language communicatively by using the most the
most appropriate conversational expressions depending on the social context such as at an airport
or in a restaurant by referring most common dialogs such as:

at an airport: A-When is the next flight to New York?


B-It is on Thursday at 8.30 A.M.
in a restaurant: A- Would like to have something to drink?
B-Orange Juice please

Summary
Student will learn first how to develop their syntactic and lexical knowledge by searching from
multiple sources and then share them in class with their peers and perform them interactively in
structured role-plays for given social intercultural contexts.

Students perform their role plays before the class and their performance will be evaluated by their
peers and the instructors by using following grading components and rubric.

Explanation regarding to the implementation of the plan
In this week of education firstly the prior knowledge and their backgrounds will be documented by
using google survey and depending on its results instructors could rearrange the instructional
contents. In the first class hour the students will be provided a infographic presentation to guide
them to construct their syntactic and lexical knowledge for intercultural English conversations in
different social contexts following this class hour they discuss and compile alternative dialogues and
at the end of second class hour some guided practices and also independent practices will be
performed by using their compilations.
Back-up plan, ın case of any technical difficulty during the presentation the handouts and lecture
method will be utilized
