1. What do you mean by Barter ?


Barter is the exchange of goods and services between two or more parties without
the use of money. It is the oldest form of commerce where individuals and
companies barter goods and services between each other based on equivalent
estimates of prices and goods.

2. According to the author , What do we barter in real life situation?


People barter in real life situation, because everyone benefits because they receive
items or services they need or want. Bartering also has an advantage because even
people without money can get something they need; bartering might involve trading
a service for an item.

3. Point out and analyze the imagery of the poem. What kind of imagery are used?
Explain.
The poem “Barter” by Sara Teasdale is a full of rich images that often combine
multiple senses at once in surprising ways. The poem describes the many lovely and
splendid sights, sounds and experiences that life has to sell to someone willing to
invest in them. The poem is an invitation for the readers to enter into the aesthetic
dimension of the world, to appreciate the beauty all around us. Sara Teasdale
accomplished this task by conveying the beauty through striking imagery.
