I used to think that the Role of Human Resources was only to hire and train people.

I
also think that Human Resource only job is to hire and train certain group of people
and do all the things related in the human resource of a company. For a moment, I
also thought that Human Resource people need to be sociable for they are the ones
outside of their company looking for people who they can hire. An HR Manager
should also have the sense of Leadership. Handling almost all the employees in a
company because HR Manager are the first one all the employees work to, He/she is
require with having a sense of Authority within herself because if not, no one will
respect and obeys him/her. And for the last, I believe that a vital Role of Human
Resources is to adapt very quick, they are the first one to be affected for they are the
first step in entering the company.

And Now, I think that the Role of Human Resource is wide-ranging for every aspects
relating to employee relation are handled by them. Human Resource is the process of
employing, training, compensating, developing policies and strategies for them to retain
their employees. I also learned that the job of an HR Personnel today and before differs.
In old days, HR is more on administrative type than a strategic role where they also take
part in decision making in the company. The Role of Human Resource basically
consists of first, staffing wherein hiring and recruitment of new employees that will be a
vital part of the company. Development of workplace policies is also one of their roles
this is done to maintain fairness, equity and avoid misunderstanding inside the
workplace. Administering compensation and benefits to employees are as well one of
their job. Dealing with retention of employees to maintain their current employees and to
avoid employee stepping down is also one of the hardest task I think HR do. Motivating
employees and Compensating them well is one of their technique to retain employees.
Moreover training and development mostly of new hires is a monthly activity of most
company, they are training them not just for the job but also for the employees to grow
and learn while they stay on the company. They are also in charge of dealing with laws
regarding employment and workers protection, they do not just secure the employee
rights but also their whole being. Human Resource must have a good communication
skills and excellent management skills. And lastly awareness of external factor that may
or may not affect the company things the company has no direct control over that will
affect the whole company afterwards.
