I decided to translate the book written by Daniel Pink - "Drive". It is one of the most
challenging and compelling books of recent years. Most people think that the best way to
motivate yourself is to use rewards, such as money - the "reward and punishment" approach. It's
a mistake, Daniel H. Pink tells us. In Drive, he claims that the secret of great satisfaction and
performance - at work, school and home - is the deeply human need to lead our own lives, to
learn and create new things, to become more and more better.
Pink shows us the distance between what science knows and what economics does - and
how it affects all aspects of human life. He analyzes three elements of true motivation -
autonomy, perfection and purpose, which is why I translated chapter 4 of this book, which
reflects the main approaches of the author.
I chose Drive because I've already read it. I understood the smart and surprising ideas and
solutions that are offered for their implementation.
This remarkable book can change the way we think and live.
