STUDENT´S TASKS
The student will present several topics in teams, which must contain the requirements established at the beginning of
the course.
Essays related to the topics will be assigned from one session to another. Develop a critical analysis of the situations
described in the text, but the most important aim is to analyze which are committed in different societies and which
are analyzed and propose solutions.

EVIDENCE 1: State a definition of human rights based on a contemporary theory.


EVIDENCE 2: Define values and compare its concept with human rights.
EVIDENCE 3: Draw a time line including the history of human rights.
EVIDENCE 4: Classify human rights retaking the main elements according to the theory of the three generations.
EVIDENCE 5: Write a report about international, national and local human rights institutions including their principal
activities, reason of their creation and the year of their foundation.
EVIDENCE 6: Draw a flowchart including the steps human rights institutions follow after they have received a formal
complaint.
EVIDENCE 7: Synthesize the history of human rights in Mexico.
EVIDENCE 8: Keep a directory of institutions that defend and promote human rights in Nuevo Leon, including a
synthesis of the activities they do, representatives they have, year of their foundation, address and telephone.
COMPREHENSIVE FINAL PROJECT:
 Essay about problems faced by human rights institutions; include a list of the most common human rights
violations in Mexico.
 Project with strategies to defend and promote human rights.
 Audiovisual presentation of the project.
