INTRODUCTION
The eligibility requirement is 60 % in the LP. Any learning activity in or outside class at any point in the course
(during the day, week, month, or the whole course) that serves as a formative assessment can be considered a
part of the learning portfolio. Assessment does not need to be pre-assigned. It could be in any form of checking
1
learning activity. This includes all the tasks and activities in and outside classroom as well as homework. LP
assessment may focus on all language skills (reading, listening, writing & speaking) and systems (grammar &
vocabulary). No make-up will be given if a student misses any of those assessed tasks. No extra or bonus
tasks will be given to the students to make up for the tasks students miss. Both the main and the support
teacher can assign the Learning Portfolio tasks.
Students will be given the Learning Portfolio Student Handbook at the beginning of the course. They need to
sign each page of the handbook. Teachers will collect the signed copies and hand these in to the HTUs.
