WHAT IS THE STUDENT UNION?

NBCC Saint John Our student leaders! Who better to know what’s important to students than
students themselves?

These individuals represent the students’ voice on campus-related issues and

ensure an active quality of student life on campus.
NBCC Woodstock
The Student Union is a great way to meet new people! The Student Union
involves students on campus, in their community, virtually, and within the six
NBCC campus regions. They work to increase students' sense of belonging by
NBCC St. Andrews providing a variety of activities, opportunities and encourage health,
participation and happiness.

As a bonus, most employers like to see this involvement on a resume!

NBCCSU ELECTIONS
THE PROVINCIAL STUDENT UNION ELECTS NEW EXECUTIVE TEAM

Two executive members of each campus’s Local Campus Union were selected to sit on the Provincial NBCC Student
Union. These students attended the annual NBCCSU retreat virtually on October 16 and 17. At that meeting they
elected the Provincial NBCC Student Union Executive team.

Student Success Week is about ensuring students get the support they need to be successful in their studies, as well
as time to get caught up on their work or study ahead. It is also a time to take a break and have a little fun. Your
NBCC Student Union has been working on some fun events to enjoy during lunch time every day during Student
Success week. Check out our great line up of virtual events and some chances to win cash prizes!

Monday October 26th (Submit your entries by October 22nd )

NBCCSU presents our Virtual Variety Show!! Do you have a talent you would like to
share with your NBCC Community? Can you juggle, play an instrument, sing, recite a
poem or do an awesome Tik Tok? Submit your special talent to our dropbox link by
October 22nd to be showcased on our show during lunch on Monday October 26th.
Invite to watch will be sent to your email.

Did you know that each Local Campus Union has a Student Life
Officer working for them? Your Student Life Officers are here
to help guide the local Student Unions in all their endeavours.
Your SLO can usually be found in the Student Union Office. Each
week they will update on social media when they will be on
campus and what fun events and activities we have going on.
You can reach out to your SLO for information, access to Mother
Hubbard’s Cupboard food pantry, student concerns, event ideas
and to get involved with your Student Union.
