It is quite obvious that the rate of crimes are increasing day by day in all societies in the

world, but I personally do believe that there are a lot which can be done by both the
governments and the individuals to reduce the crimes in communities.
In the first place, I strongly believe that the government should adopt stricter alcohol
policies. It has been proven that alcohol is linked to violence. But at the same time, I
think that we do not have to ban alcohol, it just would be enough to provide a higher
alcohol tax and reduce the number of alcohol outlets.
Also, I am in favor of the idea of organizing behavioral intervention programs at
schools. Such programs will definitely help to raise responsible and law-abiding citizens.
Finally, the problem can be solved through cooperation. By organizing or joining a
neighborhood program in which you and your neighbors get together to learn how to
protect yourselves, your home and your property. Working together, you can get the
criminals out of your area.
All in all, I am sure that it is possible to reduce the crime level in our areas. We just need
to help each other and not be afraid to take measures.
