This outstanding online exhibition “13 People” continues the already well-known

series of artistic projects organized by China International Abstract Art Association

and China International Abstract Art Consortium, displaying the most recent creations
of 13 artists who also play a key role in organizing and promoting Chinese and
International Contemporary Art in China and globally.

This exhibition gathers unique and powerful voices of the Chinese and International
abstract art scene, displaying so many different styles of abstraction, revealing the
artists’ originality and innovation in the field.

“13 People” is about a generation of artists who searched individuality in their artistic
paths, innovating and bringing forth the “Guoxue Abstractism” (Abstract
Expressionism in China), “Color Abstract Painting”, “Point and Line Abstract
Painting” as aesthetic movements, the Gestual Abstraction (Tachisme), “Musical
Abstraction”, “Lyrical Nostalgic Abstraction”, “Deformed Abstraction” (Art Brut in
Western art), “Fantasy Natural Abstraction”, “Reverse Abstract Painting”, and digital
abstraction. These artists value spontaneity and improvisation, and they accord the
highest importance to the artistic process. Their works can be clustered around two
basic inclinations: an emphasis on dynamic, energetic gesture, in contrast to a
reflective, cerebral focus on more open fields of color. These artists show their great
efforts to explain and promote abstract art into a world still clinging to figurative art,
and obvious narratives in painting. They are prominent scholars, researchers and
aestheticians whose target in life was the study of abstract art.

前言

中国国际抽象艺术学会、中国国际抽象艺术联合体作为网络群
体，自成立以来，先后举办了《抽象与风格》、《决战 2020 抽
象展》、《点线抽象主义绘画联展》、《色彩之美抽象展》、
《美术之美百花展》、《姹紫嫣红百花展》、《国际艺术家作
品展》、《国际名人三人展》、《2020 首届国际抽象艺术联
展》、《外国艺术家中国展》、《2020 第二届国际抽象艺术联
展》、《2020 第二届姹紫嫣红百花展》、《首届中外艺术名家
学术展》、《第二届外国艺术家中国展》以及二百多场艺术家
的个人展等展览。通过这些展览，极大地调动了民间艺术家和
体制内艺术家的创作积极性，可以说有力地推动了中国抽象艺
术的发展，有力地推动了抽象艺术的理论发展。

这次特邀展主要邀请在这个群体中发挥了巨大作用的艺术家，
展示一下自己的艺术成就，以供大家欣赏。

结束语

参加这次展览的每一位艺术家都有自己的艺术风格，而且都有
自己的抽象艺术理论，并且，还积极组织和带动广大抽象艺术
家们进行交流、展示、探讨、展览，身体力行的这种实干精神
是值得敬佩的。他们的艺术创作都是建立在艺术理论之上的，
才能表现出鲜明的艺术风格。这可能是以前艺术界欠缺的地方。
