Religious significance:
Many sects in Hinduism consider that Kailash is the ultimate destination of souls. It is
believed that Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvathi reside here, amidst the snow clad
mountains. The sacred places lies in the “Ugama Sthana” (birthplace) of some of the
longest rivers in Asia – Indus, Sutlej, Brahmaputra and the Karnali river. This pilgrimage
centre is famous not only among Hindus but also visited by Buddhists and Jains.
Sankara Yatra will realise your dreams of a holy pilgrimage of Kailash Manasarovar. The
Itinerary for the Manasarovar Yatra is mentioned below:
Drive Kathmandu to Nyalam 3750 m (156 kms). Drive to Nepal Tibet border
Day-3 (Kodari) walk to friendship bridge. After custom formalities drive to Nyalam.
Overnight stay at Guest house
Day-4 Nyalam- day free for acclimatization. Short hiking. Overnight stay at guest house
Nyalam-New Dongba 4600 m (390 kms) (Cross the pass Tong La 5126m and

Day-6 New Dongba-Manasarovar 4558 m (277 km) Overnight stay at guest house

Drive Nyalam to Kathmandu (156 km/6-7 hrs). Meals included: B,L,D. Overnight

We have innumerable queries on the Chinese Visa, Passport and Tibet permit. We
make it clear from our end that we handle all the responsibilities of visa processing
and issuance of permit from Tibetan authorities.
Yatrees need to e-mail their copies of passport and visa to us to apply for Tibet
permit. We would get the Tibet permit 15 days prior to the departure date.
Later, we need originals of your passport for applying of Group Visa permit. Once
we receive Group Visa, we shall send back your originals back to you.
NRI and foreign nationals have to send the color copies of their passport by e-mail
for visa processing.
Yatrees need to carry warm clothing such as woolen sweaters, woolen socks,
monkey caps, thermal wear, lip balm, gloves etc.
Indian and Nepalese sim cards do not work in Tibet. There are several service
providers such as Matrix, who provide temporary sim cards that can be used during
the Yatra.
Since there is lot of time is involved in the processing of Visa papers, it is advisable that the
yatrees book their tours well in advance to avoid any paper delays

*Flight charges have been quoted at an approximate rate and might vary at the
time of booking
*Special Permit fee of 297 USD is applicable, if Chinese Government apply special
permit fee at the time of arrival. As per the new rule, only 17 people are permitted
to travel in bus (capacity of 30 passengers).
Booking:
Booking amount for Kailash Manasarovar Yatra would be Rs. 10,000/- (Non-refundable
and to be paid at the time of booking). Remaining amount has to be paid 45 days before
the departure date.
