Questions for Discussion

Q. Hello sir. TCS has been an active participant in accelerating adult literacy across the country
through its CBFL (Computer Based Functional Literacy). We would like for you to enlighten us
about your work and what you think are the ultimate aims of this programme.

Q. Since you are from a technical background, what new areas of CSR do you think technology can
play a bigger role in moving forward through the pandemic.

Q. Due to the pandemic we might see major downsizing and loss of jobs across industries. What
do you think the role of business organizations should be when it comes to re-skilling and up-
skilling of their employees so that they can survive this difficult period?

Q. Due to the pandemic we have seen many organisations ramp up their CSR activities, including
TCS who have for the first time spent their entire quota of 2% profits this financial year. Do you
expect this rise to be a temporary blip or a sustained plateau?

Q. How does your organization measure the actual success of a CSR initiative apart from the
expense metrics?

Q. Can you throw some light on TCS’ sustainability and climate goals and how do you think it’s
going to reflect on organization’s growth and impact the society at the same time?
