Introduction

Next Accessories is on the pinnacle of Green production with an impressive one-stop-

shop production facility serving apparel identification solution, print and packaging

industry. A LEED Gold Certified Green plant, constructed according to United States

Green Building Council’s (USGBC) criteria, the beautiful facility utilizes state of the art

technologies to be at the forefront of Eco-friendly production. I have been working here

for last 5 years as a Manager (Lab, Environmental and Chemical Compliance). It is very

good company from the perspective of Health and Safety condition. It has own OHS

Policy for sustaining Health and Safety condition at the top most level.

OHS Policy of Next Accessories Ltd according to ISO 45001:2018

Next Accessories Ltd is committed to a strong Health and Safety that protects our

employees, valued customers, contractors, the public and property from accidents and/or

incidents occurring on our projects. In this policy following commitment of statement are

giving by our top management to implement OHS Management System in our plant.

 Reduce injury & ill health is our prime task through appropriate prevention

measures in respect of hazard and risk to mitigate our operation level.

 Design and manage our operations to meet or surpass applicable OHS local laws

and regulations

 Work in partnership with customers, suppliers, trade associations and government

agencies to promote the OHS at our facility.

 Acquire knowledge and technologies to improve the OHS and save efficient use

of our processes and products.

 Formulate and implement effective OHS response systems and promote employee

awareness of this policy and enhance their capabilities to implement this policy.

 Involve our employees in our OHS programs and keep them informed of our

performance. Every December this policy will be reviewed by our Management

Review Committee for the suitable OHS implementation in our factory.

Health and Safety Condition in My Company

Here we practice total compliance issues mainly in 3 phases, which are Procedural

compliance, Physical compliance and Personnel compliance for Health and Safety issues.

The Compliance Team is responsible to develop operating policies and procedures to

govern Team functions with the inventory, risk assessment, training, communications,

audits and corrective actions. They developed a lot of policies like: Company’s COC,

Company Overview, Service Rule and Workers Rights and Privileges, Forced and

Bonded Labor Policy, Child Labour Policy, Child Labour Remediation Policy, Young

Worker Policy, Non-Discrimination Policy, Anti-Harassment and Abuse Policy, Policy

on Conduct with Workers, Anti- Corruption Policy & Procedure, Policy & Procedure on

Freedom of Association, Policy on Human Right & Compliance, Labour Development

Rules, Supplier Selection Policy, PPE Use Policy, Safety Policy, Internal Security Policy,

Broken Needle Policy & Procedure, Sharp Tools Control Policy & Procedure, Fire Safety

Policy, Emergency Fire Safety pre Plan with Fire Service & Civil Defence, Emergency

The Compliance Team develops and adheres to an approved timeline for program

development and subsequent program maintenance including:

a) Scheduled meetings to review the inventory and any new or revised policies or

procedures

b) Scheduled reviews and follow up of complaints, audits, findings and corrective

actions

The Compliance Team provides training and communications to all employees on general

compliance and to specific employees on the responsibilities for compliance that may be

associated with their positions.

Fire Safety:

 Each building has two main and two emergencies spacious exits.

 Trained Fire Fighting Team

 Adequate firefighting equipment’s.

 Central Fire Detection System (CFDS).

 Hydrant System.

 Evacuation plan in each floor of the building and main gate.

 Training and awareness to the all employees

Chemical Safety:

 Each floor where chemicals are used has Eye Wash Station as well as

Chemical Spill Kits.

Keeping our environment clean and unpolluted is a

benefit to all. We’ll always follow best practices

when disposing garbage and using chemical

substances. Stewardship will also play an important

role.

NEXT has Medical Center: Considering the

provision of health care facility to our workers and

staffs under the prevailing labor act, NEXT

has a complete 1 bedded fatigue center and

dispensary supported by 2 Medical Officer

(MBBS Doctors), 2 trained Nurses and 2

Medical Assistants. Necessary First Aid,

along with supply of emergency medicines

treatments of any worker, NEXT takes the patient to a better hospital. Under the

circumstances the authority takes necessary steps to provide full course of treatment.

 Special care for cleaning solution: We

provide hygienic work place for all

the employees which helps to stay

healthy.

 We provide high quality water filter

as our employees can drink pure

water for his good health.

which reflects its caring attitude toward sterilized environment as well as human

health.

 NEXT Provides Interest free loan which shows sharing & caring attitude toward

her employees which helps to maintain high morale and better life.

 We provide Maternity benefit.

 We have HVAC system (Heating, ventilation, and air conditioning) which goal is

to provide thermal comfort and acceptable indoor air quality for the beneficial of

our employees.

Conclusion
I feel proud to be a part of Next Accessories Ltd. which is very safe and healthy for
working. I can proudly say that my Company is one of the best Industrial Health and
Safety maintaned companies. Every Industry should be like that.
