Reason for adopting ISO 45001

In the light of the recent increase in workplace incidents, Ministry of Manpower launched the Code
1 of Practice (CP) for Chief Executives and the Board of Directors in October 2022 to clarify and
strengthen ownership of WSH roles and duties.

“While this Code is not mandatory, Ministry of Manpower (MOM) will

Singapore’s Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) Act
