- 100 % cotton yarn for a 3.00 mm hook ch = chain stitch

You will need:

A color for her skin and one for her underwear. Choose a “dull” dark green or brown for her dress, white
for her apron and an ochre for her straw hat. You’ll also need a beige or creamy yarn for her socks (you can
use this same color for her underwear) and brown for her booties. And finally, obviously, orange for her hair.
Oh! And a bit of pink to embroider the cheeks.
I use 100% cotton yarn.

Final Dimensions:
From head to toe, Anne measures 32 cm approximately.
Of course, should you choose a different hook and yarn, final measures will vary…

Anne is crocheted from her underwear to her head. Then we’ll do the skirt and the apron…

Straps of the apron

Starting with a long tail (you’ll use it to sew one end of Choose three stitches on each side and pass 2 strands
the strap), crochet a chain of 15 ch. through each stitch…
Braids
Sew the hair piece to Anne’s head. Cut 12 strands of
30 cm each using your orange yarn. You’ll use six for
each braid. Choose three stitches on each side of the
head, on the edge of the hair piece. With your tapestry
needle, pass two strands through each stitch, folding
them in halves. Take the strands and braid them. Tie
them with a bit of yarn. Use the color of the dress for
this. Repeat on the other side of Anne’s head, with the
second braid…
Legs
{Make two. Start with brown, for her booties…}
1. Magic ring of 5 sc
2. Crochet *2 sc in each stitch*, repeat * (10)
3. to 11. Crochet 10 sc
12. Change to the color of her socks (beige) and,
only through back loops, crochet 10 sc
13. to 22. Crochet 10 sc
23. Change to the color of her skin and, only through
back loops, crochet 10 sc
{Remember to stuff the leg as you go…}
24. to 30. Crochet 10 sc
31. Press the opening with your fingers and crochet
together, with sc, both opposing sides. Close. Break
the yarn and leave a long tail to sew legs to body.
Arms

1. Make 2 chain stitches. Crochet 4 sc in the second
chain from hook.
2. Crochet *2 sc in each stitch*, repeat * (8)

7. Change to the color of the dress and, only through

Assembly
- Sew arms to the sides of the body.
- Sew the straps, first in front of the apron and then, crossed, through the shoulders, in the
back of your doll (see photo on page 2).
- Sew legs to body (you’ll have to lift both skirts – See Photo above)
- If you want Anne’s hat to remain still, sew it to the hair.
- Weave in all ends inside the body of your doll.

STEP BY STEP Tutorial: Finishing touch of the hair

Once you’ve finished round 11 of the hair, chain Once you’ve turned the piece, crochet one
1. 1 to turn… 2. decrease and then 35 sc…

Once you’ve reached the other end, finish the Continue crocheting as indicated in the pattern.
3. round with another decrease. Chain 1 and turn… 4. Once you’ve finished the last round, your hair
piece should look like this…

the V of the hair Finish here

Now we are going to crochet a series of single Once you’ve finished crocheting sc in the V, go
5. crochets (sc) all along the V of the hair, for a 6. on crocheting sc till you reach the middle of the
tidier finish… back of the hair (aproximately 15 sc).
