COMMUNITY IN THE GRAVEYARD “cementary slum”

In navotas city cementary a community live around 6,000 people in 2014 migrated this poeple
came from the provinces that belongs to the poorest of the poor in our country, victims of typhoons
and jobless people who came to manila to search jobs. The community started in 1986 but not totally
overpopulated compare in 2014 only few houses then later on it started to multiply that came mostly
from the province of samar. Bones are just piled up in the corner while children step on it as they walk
and The smell stench the surroundings but as the citizen stated that they already got used on it. It was
clearly the lack of hygiene of the surroundings that may affect the citizens health.

In our community as I live in city our neighbourhood were not that close anymore unlike in the
1st generation who lives in here now since people are more focus in work now that it feels lonely
some part in the community were left without care like abandon house and some places that were
not been clean or worse some made the place “tambayan” that men in our community make to drink
or what business they have. Men urinating everywhere making it dangerous for woman to walk alone
during night.
