Since F = 1/T

F = 1/(2π/w)

Going lower in w:

If w = 2w,
F = 1/(π/w) = w/π

Else, if w=w,
F = 1/(2π/w) = w/2π

Therefore, making the angular velocity lower decreases the frequency as well.
