JIRA
Jira is a flexible issue tracking tool that helps teams plan, manage, and report on their work. It
can be used by individuals or teams for both simple or complex projects.

USING JIRA
User creates an account with a URL specific to them. E.g., https://domein.atlassian.net/
Access control can be used to limit what different team members can do. For example:
To apply setting changes to all projects the user must have admin credentials.
All users can modify their personal settings.
Visualizing Work
JIRA offers great possibilities for managing projects, tasks, issues, however, hug and
complicated project makes it is hard to see and understand the whole picture of it. A simple
solution to this is “Visualizing Work”.

1. A TO-DO LIST.
A to-do list is a simple list of tasks that allows you to
visually see what you need to accomplish.
Characteristics of a to-do list.
- Visually reminds you of work that you need to
do.
- It focuses on specific tasks.
- Allows you to track your progress.
- It lists tasks in order of highest-lowest priority (The order can be reshuffled)
2. BOARD
This is an agile tool that project teams can use to visualize
their progress. Boards may also be called: task board, project
board, Kanban board, or scrum board.
A board displays all the issues that occurs within the project,
providing you a flexible way of viewing, managing, and
reporting the progress on work i.e.. A board visualizes
workflows.
WORKFLOWS
Workflows are used to model the processes involved in the project. It is also called: process,
business process, and value stream. A workflow is a step-by-step decomposition of tasks in a
project. Steps may also be referred to as statuses, states, stages.
