Introduction
Welcome to MacPaint X help guide! This PDF will guide you through the many
aspects on MacPaint X you may find confusing! Here at MacPaint X we try to strive
in one thing, Simplicity so therefor our product can be used by a large majority of
people from learning to draw on a computer to doing a quick sketch!

MacPaint X Application
Starting Or Opening A Project
MacPaint X is a very easy to use tool drawing tool. When you open the application
a screen will be prompt asking you whether you wish to make a New Project or
simple Open A Existing Project...

New Project. If you wish to change the size of the new project simply click on the
tab saying “Size” which is on the bottom of the screen. After choosing you Height
and Width click on the tab “New” to return back to the main page then click the OK
button and you new project will appear!

Open A Existing Project. To open a existing project click on the button saying OK
below the sign “Open A Project” which in our case is the highest button. After
clicking this a menu will be prompt asking you what picture you will like to open
(Please remember that MacPaint X has a limit of picture files it can open!) After
choosing the picture press open and you picture will appear in MacPaint X ready to
be edited.

Editing Your Project

After opening or starting a new project you can edit it, there are two toolbars, one
for actions such as “Undo”, “Redo” and “New” and so on and the second for the
tools such as “Brush”, “Paint bucket” and “Line” and so on. To choose a tool for
editing simply just click on the icon on the toolbar and then re-click onto the project
window and then do whatever you wish to do!

Zooming. MacPaint X zoom button is either on the Menu Bar or on the bottom left
corner, you can zoom to whatever level you wish! There are some known bugs
within this sector such as when you open a project and zoom in the picture could be
distorted!

Updating MacPaint X
To update simply open the MacPaint X updater and click on the update button - If a
message prompts saying thereʼs no download then simply no update is yet
available but if it does download you update will be on put onto your desktop, from
there we suggest you should drag it and copy it over your old copy of MacPaint X.

Add-ons

Downloading Add-ons
To download a add-on simply go into the Addon folder and download the addon you
wish - In this current time these will be the only add-ons available. These add-ons
are created by Stuffit Sea Maker. Some Add-ons may not correspond to this Help so
if your a novice in using MacPaint X we advise you not to download these!

Auto-Saver

Enable Auto-Saving
To enable this feature simply instead of opening MacPaint X by the application itself
just click on the Auto-Saver, This will open MacPaint X with auto-saving enabled!
Auto-Saver does not appear on your dock so save space.

How Often Does It Save? Auto-saver prompts you with a message asking “Do You
Want To Save” every 10 minutes.

How Do I Change The Time? To be able to change the time it prompts you will
have to have slight knowledge on Apple Script and this is not recommended to
novices - To do this simply right click the auto-saver and click on “Show Package
Contents” Then go to resources and get to Scripts, open the script with Script Editor
and change all the times (Will be in the digit 600) to whatever number you wish, You
will need to enter you time in seconds NOT MINUTES!
