Quirino Province

MOUNTAINS – replicate the Sierra Madre Series in the


eastern part of the province and the Caraballo and Mamparang ranges in the south.  It also
illustrates that majority of its land resources are rolling to steep and very steep areas.

TREES – represent its major natural resources.  It also signifies that the province contains
the upper Cagayan River basin watershed.

BUNDLED RICE, TOBACCO and CORN – identifies the three (3) main crops grown in the
province as a source of living.

LOWER PORTION – represents the abundance of inland bodies of freshwater.  This portion
of the seal also divided the middle that signifies that the Cagayan River dissects this inland
province of which other small rivers and tributaries flow to the mouth at Aparri, Cagayan.

Cauyan City, Isabela

65 GEAR TEETH – symbolizes the 65-component barangay of


the City.

ROPE – symbolizes the unity among officials and city residents that gives strength to the
city.

SUN – represents the bright future of the new city.

BLUE SKY – symbolizes hope and the existence of peace within the city.

PALAY, CORN, and TOBACCO – represent the major crops and the major sources of
income of the Cauayenos.

BAMBOO POLES – represent the humble and resilient Cauayanenos.

BLUE WAVES – represent the Cagayan river and all bodies of water which serve as the
fishing ground and sources of marine life and irrigation for the City’s fertile fields.

BUILDING – depict the City Hall which represents the new face of Cauayan as a city.
Cagayan Province

YELLOW and GOLD – symbolizes the wealth of the


province.

BLUE – represents justice, honor, nobility of the people, their sincerity and traditional
peaceful ways.

BLUE PORTION OF SHIELD – resembling a chief combined with a pale represents the
Cagayan River with the two divided portions representing the two original congressional
districts of Cagayan

SMALL ISLANDS – represent the islands found on the northern part of the province.

TOBACCO, RICE, CORN and PEANUTS – The major agricultural crops of Cagayan are
represented by the plant facsimile.
