Step through the installer and be careful to read each step and input desired options

respectively. You may also choose which plugin formats you’d like included with your install.

Controls
JW BG-KEYS was designed to control your peak dynamics on your keys, synths,
strings, and post production elements to give you more headroom in the mix. The push slider
adds parallel compression and distortion to “push” your keys into their own space.

Crush (0 dB to -30 dB)

This slider controls the amount of gain reduction applied to the singal. JW BG-KEYS
is a limiter with auto-gain so as you apply gain reduction to the signal, the signal will
get louder.

Loud (0 dB to -30 dB)

This slider controls the output of the signal post compression.

GR (0 dB to -30 dB)

This meter shows the amount of gain reduction applied to the signal being
compressed.

Push (On or Off)

The push button adds parallel saturation and “glue” style compression to slightly
widen your keys and put them into their own space.

Mix (0% to 100%)

This slider allows you to balance the volume of the original signal with the
compressed signal.

Link
The Link Button intermittently links the crush and loud faders. Click on the button and
move the mouse up or down to make both sliders move together.

Functions
The controls have some additional functionality and alternate ways of interacting via
the following key commands:

● Double Click
○ This allows you to manually type in a number value for the control point.
● Control + Click
○ This allows you to reset the control point value back to default.
● Shift + Click
○ This allows you to have a finer mode of control over the control point.
● Right Click (VST3)
○ This allows you to access the automation menu supported by the VST3
format.
● JST logo
○ Clicking this will display the “About Screen” which contains useful information
for troubleshooting or technical support issues and for accessing help to open
the manual from inside the plugin.
