The network infrastructure I’m proposing would include 4 800 GB SAN’s and

three fiber channel switches to connect to the AD server, DHCP/DNS/TFTP server, and

call center server. The servers connect to one central router, which then connects to a

firewall, then to an IDS/IPS. The IDS/IPS connects to 5 switch’s, and each switch

connects to a VLAN then to certain department such as finance or sales. All the

computers connect to a VPN client which then connects to the internet.

The SAN’s will need SAN switches that connect to the servers the ones I found

online go for roughly 7000 dollars a piece and the switches go for roughly 5 to 10

thousand for managed scalable switches. The systems also require the use of fiber as

well which will be implemented across the entire diagram. I removed the SQL database

server as well to cut costs on the licensing and did some research. You can use ODBC

drivers in the AD server to use a tool native to AD called Extensible Storage Engine

(ESE) to run the database for the company.

In the diagram I provided I left out all the details for the different components

because the diagram was full so I will provide the details below according to how things

are labeled on the diagram.

Everything will be connected via fiber optic and this network infrastructure will need 3

different class C subnets (255.255.255.0).
