1. Log into OneDrive through IT Resource Portal https://www.ram.ac.

uk/portal with Academy email

and password.

2. As a best practice, create a dedicated folder where you will store all statements you wish to share.
To do that, click on the New icon and select New Folder from the menu.
• Name the folder with your username.
• Click Create.
• Select created folder name to begin uploading your statements files into it.

3. Upload the statement files:

• Click on Upload, and choose the file you wish to upload or drag the file(s) to your OneDrive
location.
Recommendation: Be sure to name your file appropriately. If you upload a file with the same name
as an existing file, it will overwrite the old one.
4. Once files are uploaded you can share it with other RAM users. Those sharing permissions can be
stopped at any time.

• Select the statement file(or multiple files) you wish to share within “username_statements” and
click Only You in the Sharing column. A new menu will open.
• Click on ‘Invite people’, and then add RAM user(Staff or Student) you would like to share that with.

• Select ‘Can edit’ or ‘Can edit’ according to your need, tick ‘Require sign-in’ and click ‘Share’

5. Instead sharing individual files that have been uploaded to “username_statements” folder you can
also share whole folder. To do go back to OneDrive main catalogue (Documents), click on three dots
next to folder and repeat procedure from previous step.

Person that you’ve shared documents with will get email notification with link to your OneDrive. Only
they will be able to access uploaded files in a secured way. With that method you can share any type
of files.
6. To revoke file sharing click on ‘Shared’, next Stop Sharing.

That process can be repeated on mobile device, however it might be easier doing it via dedicated
OneDrive app that can be downloaded from Google Play and Apple Store.
