credibility
You can be convince an audience of your credibility
by making your audience notice that you are
committed to the argument and wants to prove your
point. You can convince an audience by showing
them disinterest and that you're not motivated by
personal gain.
Joshua Bell was not as successful in the subways as in the concert hall because he missed ethos and pathos. This is
shown because when Joshua played at the concert hall, the audience was trustworthy and therefore trusted Joshua
whereas in the subway the audience did not expect for great talent to be played at this specific place like a subway
and the audience were not trustworthy so they did not trust Joshua. The concert hall had pathos because it was
designed for an emotional connection with the audience and Joshua while the subway did not have pathos because it
did not have emotional connection with the audience and Joshua and because the sound of the trains, the movement
of people and other sounds was not really conductive for the audience to have a connection with him.
