Performance will be satisfactory when:

You are at a party in France trying to get to know the other international students at your university. None of the other students speak English, so you must use only French. At the start of the party, your instructor will give you a card with some information on it. The information will be in English, but you must talk about ALL the information on the card with your partner in French only. Your partner will also have information that he/she must bring up in the conversation. Once you have both talked about every item on the card, you have completed the conversation. At that time, exchange cards with your partner and move on to the next person to repeat the exercise. Continue until your instructor tells you to stop.
