Computer Laboratory Policies


1. Proper conduct must be observed inside the computer laboratories at all times.
2. Loud or obscene language is not allowed.
3. All users are responsible for their belongings while inside the computer laboratory.  (We do not
encourage leaving of personal belongings on the table as we do not monitor them).
4. Fill in the log book upon entering the laboratory.
5. Users must logoff their account after use (everyone is accountable for their username and
password).
6. Bringing of computer laboratory equipment into or out of the laboratory is not allowed unless
approved by the ICT in Charge. 
7. No free slot users shall be accommodated during scheduled class hours, seminars, or trainings,
unless authorized by the ICT in Charge for that laboratory schedule.
8. Free slot users are only allowed to use a workstation for a duration of 1 ½ hours to give way to
other users especially during submission of reports. However, this does not apply in non-peak hours.
9. Only authorized ICT personnel are allowed to alter the settings/configuration of the computer and
facilities.
10. Misuse of Laboratory facilities that results (or could result) in damage to the software, equipment,
data, or facilities will be subject for disciplinary or possible legal action.
11. Eating and/or bringing in food and/or any liquid inside the computer laboratory is strictly
prohibited.
12. Loitering inside the computer laboratory is not allowed.
13. Playing games, unless authorized is strictly prohibited.
14. Vandalism is not tolerated.
15. Accessing of pornographic, violent, and other inappropriate contents are strictly prohibited.
16. Cellphones and other communication devices must be switched off or put in silent mode while
inside the computer laboratory. 
17. Computer laboratory faculty PC is strictly for faculty use only, unless student is authorized by the
ICT in Charge.
18. Only one (1) computer is allowed for each teacher use unless authorized by the ICT in Charge.
19. The ICT in Charge performs regular maintenance. Users must save their files in their personal
storage devices (such as flash drives).
20. The computer laboratory printer is intended only for class and official academic use.  Non-class or
work-related printing will be charged on a per-page basis.
