1 Date and Venue

The AMFUF 2017 will be held from November 9th to November 11th, 2017 at
Ho Chi Minh City University of Transport (UT-HCMC) in Vietnam.

☞ We would like to recommend that you will arrive in Ho Chi Minh on

November 8th, 2017 and depart on or after November 11th, 2017.

2 Theme

It has been decided the AMFUF 2017 theme is “Sustainable and effective
shipping & fishery industries”.

3 Sub Theme

① E-navigation

② Maritime Education Training (MET)

③ Logistics in port revolution

④ Fishery and ocean science technology for sustainable development

⑤ Green shipping and ports

Also, the AMFUF 2017 will discuss following topics:

- Efficiency in exchange of information among the AMFUF member institutions

- Development of education program among the AMFUF member institutions

- Other education and training issues in the fields of maritime and fisheries

4 Registration

Please register (due: June 30th, 2017) as soon as possible in order for your
institution to be placed on the mailing list for future communication regarding
the program and accommodation arrangements. There is no registration fee.

Cancellations must be received by organizers in writing 30 wording days before

the date of the forum.

VISAs: Please note that you may require a visa for entry to Vietnam.

5 Guideline for Abstract to Sessions

Academics and professionals are invited to submit abstracts by email for

consideration on or before June 30th, 2017 to the followings:

One page extended abstract shall be submitted in English (500 to 1,500 words)
with 3~5 key words outline the key points to be covered by the submission
deadline. Abstracts of the proposed papers and full papers (in Microsoft) should
be e-mailed to cofa@kmou.ac.kr.

6 Guideline for the Journal of AMFUF

The paper must be written in English (Microsoft Word, Time New Roman Type)
with single space. Left margin-2.54cm, right margin-2.54cm, top margin-3cm,
bottom margin-2.54cm. Please refer to the attached template, which is a

guideline as well as an example for the full paper. Also, we would like to ask
authors to write their full paper within 15 pages (paper size: A4). You can
submit your paper by using e-mail on or before August 31st, 2017 to the

7 AMFUF Best Paper Prize

Among the full papers which would be submitted, authors will be awarded the
AMFUF Best Paper Prizes as followings:

☞ Best Paper Prize Money: KRW 1,000,000 (about USD 850)

☞ Runner-up Prize Money: KRW 500,000 (about USD 430)

☞ Thirs Prize Money: KRW 300,000 (about USD 260)

8 Guideline for AMFUF Steering Committee

□ For whom: Director, Head etc., a person who in charge of an international
office of each AMFUF member institutions

□ Purpose of the AMFUF Steering Committee: It aims to discuss how to

manage the AMFUIF in the future and discuss on enhancing Maritime
Education, Training and Fisheries Education as well as searching for ideas to

invigorate academic exchange and cooperation among the AMFUF member
institutions.

□ Please kindly submit the any agendas for this meeting on or before June 30th,
2017 to cofa@kmou.ac.kr.

Working language of the AMFUF 2016 is ENGLISH. Papers should be written
