Project Title: Use of BIM (Building Information Modelling) as an integrated tool for plan, design,
and manage the critical construction projects.
AIM: To Analyse, examine and understand the potential use and implementation of BIM, its
economic, political and social implications, the attitudes and behaviours of users, and
issues arising during its implementation and future opportunities of BIM in construction
industry.

Scope of the project:

1. Use of BIM to increase productivity, efficiency, infrastructure value; quality and sustainability,
reduce lifecycle costs, lead times and duplications via effective collaboration and communication
between stakeholders and technical experts in construction projects.

2. How BIM adoption for an architectural and construction management company helps to mitigate
the management and communication problems in remote construction project.

3. How BIM based 4D scheduling helps understanding of the construction components and schedule
progress that in turn results better construction planning.

4. Case study and cost-benefit analysis of different construction projects which are carried out using
BIM.

5. Different types of BIM software providers, its uses, capabilities to manage the construction projects,
and level of implementation.
