Reaction Paper on Unplanned Teenage Pregnancy entitled “Trapped”

Guide questions:
a. Try to empathize (put yourself in the shoe of the characters) with the girl and the boy
who experienced unwanted pregnancy. What possible changes in your life could happen
after knowing that you are pregnant or you made someone pregnant?

ANSWER: I can no longer do the things I used to do when I was not

pregnant, like buying my own personal passions, wants and luxury.
Also, I can no longer go to the places I want to go when I want to be
alone because I already have a child to take care of. I can no longer
focus on my studies. I can no longer hold my time, because I already
have a responsibility not only as a mother but also as a wife. I am no
longer free in my life to do what I want to do. And it is very regretful in
my part because I am not really ready yet and I don't really have a plan
for the family yet.
b. Can you cite some possible solutions that you have in mind if you are TRAPPED in the
situation of the girl and boy in the story? Elaborate.
ANSWER:

- For me, the first thing I will do is to kneel down and Pray to Dearest Jesus ,
I will repent on my sins that I did, why I ended up in this situation. Because
without the guidance of the Lord I do not have the strength to tell the
truth to all people who trusted me that I will have a good future and they
hoped that I would not destroy their trust in me like I will never do things
like this.
- I know it is not that easy, but the parent should be the first to know the
truth.
- Another possible solution, be open with our parents and do not hide
ourfeelings especially in such situations because it is not easy.
c. Based from the story, what did the girl mean when she said”It’s real, I can’t stop the
heartbeat, I can’t do it. My life will never be the same”?

ANSWER: She realized that she already has a feeling of being a

mother, because the heartbeat she feels is not only for her but
also for the child that is in her. She said she can’t do it , two things
are meant by what she said ,first the abortion and second she was
not ready for what had happened she is not ready for being a
mother for her child that is why she said she can’t do it. And yes,
her life will never be the same because she already has a
responsibility that cannot be escape.

d. At your age, how do you prevent yourself from having the same regret as that of the girl
and the boy in the story?

ANSWER:
- For me I will focus more on my spiritual life first. If I have feelings
for someone I will not entertain it first so I don't get distracted
I will love the Lord wholeheartedly while I was young because
when I got married, my heart would be divided, in loving and
serving HIM. I will enjoy life first while single. I will follow God's
holy will and calling for me in His ministry.Amen Praise the Lord! I
love Dearest JESUS very much but he loves me more.
