 CASTLE INTEGRALLY MOLDED BUTTERFLY VALVES

Castle So Seat Bu erfly Valves have a centric disc construc on, a single piece body, with no use of
rivets or pins, an integrally molded seat and are available in various materials of construc on. Castle
Bu erfly Valves provide 100% ght shut off in both direc ons of flow against vacuum and design and
with pressure ra ngs of PN 10 and PN 16.

At Castle Valves, the process of integrally molding the seat of the body is carried out at a high
temperature and by applying constant pressure through our specially designed molding presses. As a
result, the integrally molded liner eliminates the tendency of the disc to drive the seat out of
posi on. The integrally molded seat holds an advantage over the loose seat valves as in the loose
seat valves the seat is subjected to distor on when it is fi ed with flanges. Moreover, the liner in the
loose seated valves is subjected to stretching and thus causes fa gue in loose- lined elastomers. The
fa gue in the elastomer causes excessive wear and tear in the liner. This wear and tear can be the
reason for damage in the line and the equipment where the fluid reaches.

Construc on:

1. Body: Cast Iron to BS 1452 Gr 220/250, IS 210FG200;

SG Iron to BS 2789 Gr 420/12 to AS TMA 216 Gr WCB.

2. Disc: SG Iron to BS 2789 Gr 420/12 with

Epoxy Powdercoa ng,SS 304/316 or CF8/ CF8M,
Aluminum Bronze to BS 1400 Gr AB1/AB2.

3. Seat: Black Nitrile, EPDM, Neoprene, Viton or metal to metal.

4. Sha : Carbon Steel (EN8) or SS 304 or SS 410.

5. Bearing: Nylon/ Teflon.

DOUBLE FLANGED BUTTERFLY VALVES (450-1200MM)

Double Flanged Bu erfly valves are suitable for a variety of liquids and gaseous media in Water Works,
Power Plants, Sewage Plants, Chemical & Petrochemical Plants Etc, for ght Shut-off and control. Ideally
Suited for isola ng as well as thro ling services. Applicable for maximum pressure and temperature
condi ons within the scope of BS 5155/IS 13095
Design
Tight closure of disc-convenient to the flow in both direc ons. Disc sealing is easily exchangeable and
clamping ring adjustable. Sha is made of stainless steel in maintenance free bearing. Sha sealing-
inside and outside located O-rings. Open and closed indicated device on the gear housing cover and
wheel. Toogle gear boxes with adjustable stop for the closed posi on.
Construc onal Feature :
Body : Double flanged short valve body pa ern designed to withstand specified water pressure.
Disc : Duo-eccentricity mounted streamlined disc to ensure complete shut-off of valves.
Body seat ring : Accurately machined to close tolerances to match with body.
Clamping ring : Unique clamping ring design ensures controlled and uniform seat compression and
facilitates easy replacement of seal.
Bearing : Low fric on journal bearing for suppor ng sha outside fluid flow. Seal ring is provided for
protec on of bearing area.
Special features : Rigid and sturdy design with minimum loss of head across the valves.

-Duo-eccentric sea geometry results in less wear and tear and longer life. Self-cleaning and non-jamming
seat design.
