TRAINING OF HUMAN TALENT IN COLOMBIA

¨Las people are our asset plus importante¨ is a phrase that is commonly heard in

administration, it is from this moment that we reflect the importance that the personnel has for

the organization, when we speak of training of the human the necessary information that the

company gives to its personnel, so that they complement their knowledge and increase in this

way their formation and performance within the organization, according to the Decree of law

1567 of 1998 (they have had annexes), that establishes the system of stimuli, to raise the levels

of efficiency, satisfaction, development and well-being of the Employees of the State in the

performance of their work. It becomes an obligation to constantly train public servants, but that's

where the problem lies, only public and private organizations are forced to do this work, isn't

there a law that governs them in this sense, that's why so many times there are unjustified

dismissals for not doing a task assigned well, but if these personnel have not been trained how

can they do their job well without the necessary knowledge of the entity where they are.

Article 21 of Law 50 of 1990 (which has had annexes) establishes that in companies with

more than 50 workers and whose workday is 48 hours a week, the workers will have the right to

2 hours of that workday to be dedicated, at the expense of the employer, to recreational, cultural,

sports or training activities; this law is the one that governs all private entity organizations, but

there is no entity that guarantees that this is fulfilled whether in public or private organizations,

each one working to his or her conscience and with the few resources that the organization

provides to its employees.

An example of good management of training to human talent is the company DHL

EXPRESS COLOMBIA LTDA, is the leading global provider of express delivery and logistics,
the fundamental pillar is "motivated people" and all its actions are focused on ensuring a fair and

just working environment for all its employees. "This policy allows us to have a motivated and

qualified human resource that efficiently supports the growth of the company by fulfilling the

promise of service we make to our customers and being successful with them," said Paola

Hernandez, Human Resources Manager of DHL Express Colombia.

It is important for any organization to identify human talent management by

competencies that allows us to identify what professional skills, attitudes and abilities the staff

needs to properly perform each of the jobs, in some cases will serve to hire the person who best

suits these characteristics and in others to develop a specific strategy to enable employees who

are already part of the staff to train and adapt to new needs and thus avoid unnecessary layoffs

and continuous staff change that will only lead to a setback in the organization

The data corroborates the relevance of a company's talent management. In 2007, a study

carried out by Hackett Group pointed out that the entities that carry out this strategy invoice 15%

more than their competitors, concluding that training is an investment and not an expense for the

company,
